Heartbreaker from 9-23-71 (Tokyo). My favorite performance of this song that I've heard because of the energy of the band, as well as the great recording quality of the bootleg.

Aye! I love the way they approached Heartbreaker in 1971! There was so much muscle mixed with great dynamics, and all of them taking chances! It's definitely my favorite year for this song!

Everybody is really at the top of their game here, and I love the sequence that Bonham uses his fills on this date. When I thought about what version of this song I wanted to record first, it didn't take me long to decide on this one.

If you look at some pictures from Tours around 1972, it looks like he used a 24” bass drum for a short time on the green sparkle, but then switched back to the 26. I even believe that he used a 24 in the song remains the same, I could be wrong though.

I've had the chance to talk to Jason before, and he's aware that I play in Led Zepagain (as he has guested with the band before), but I don't believe he's aware of this KZbin channel (nor would I expect him to be). I was able to land my job with Led Zepagain because of this channel though, which I never expected would happen, so I'll consider it all a worthwhile endeavor because of that. If Page, Plant, Jones, or Jason were to see it, I don't know what I'd do...
