This is widely considered one of the best, and most influential, debut rock albums. Zeppelin went from unknowns in January 1969, to the top rock band in the world by 1970 ….and rock gods by 1971 with the release of Zeppelin IV

"Let's just turn on everybody!" 🤣 There was a reason we were never allowed to play this song at school dances "back in the day". Led Zeppelin. Amazing group of four musicians, incredible talent that's almost impossible to explain. Thanks for another great reaction and looking forward to more! Edit: Just read stats for Spotify. Average of 16 million Zeppelin streams per month - 42 years after the group disbanded. Their music never gets old.

"And then crank it to F'ing 10!" 🤣Yeah, that doesn't really surprise me. This band's music is timeless and they were just that good. I think the most notable thing for me, is that they were one band that even though all their music is different, you knew it was them in the first measure. To be that recognizable and still write album after album of different stuff is amazing.

This is emulating the deep delta blues. All the great classic rock bands draw their roots from the Mississippi river delta. Robert Johnson, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters. I can't remember the origin of the quote but: "Blues and Country had a baby and they called it Rock & Roll." This was Zeppelin's hat tip to the origins of Rock.

Looks like somebody got shook… and good! 😂. Considering how much you’re enjoying “Led Zeppy” you might want to think about doing the Zepathon, which is basically listening to all their music from their first song to their last in order. Just make sure to have the paramedics on speed dial if you do.

Jimmy Page was the latest guitarist for a band called The Yardbirds (which had previously included such guitarists as Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck), and after the band split, he wanted to make a new band, a New Yardbirds, if you will. Led Zeppelin was the result.
@helenespaulding7562

This song is a sexy, bump and grind vibe. This is on their first album and it's almost like they gave you a small taste of their respective talents to introduce themselves; you had bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones have an organ solo, vocalist Robert Plant with harmonica, guitarist Jimmy Page with a bit of guitar solo with John Bonham's addition of thrashing drums. It's hard, heavy, and sexy all at the same time.
