The organ intro is iconic and sets the mood this slower tempo song.

Been listening to Led since 1969. 65 now and it never gets old. John Paul Jones is the bass, organ, and many more. He's a rocker of many styles.

John Paul Jones on the organ, and he plays bass with the foot pedals. How about “Ramble On” from LZ II?

That last sound is the start of the next song. They were regularly played as one song on the radio.

Bassist John Paul Jones plays the organ; he was choirmaster at his local church when he was 14. The lyrics were written by Jimmy and he plays acoustic and pedal steel guitar. This song has a cross-fade with the next song which is an instrumental called Black Mountain Side. Yes, they all did harmonize on the end of this. Please, I do hope you continue in chronological order because you will miss things otherwise; for example, you might've missed this song if you went by group suggestion alone.

You should honestly do the first 4 albums in order. Cause you missed Babe I'm Gonna Leave You from the first album. The first album feels like stages of a break-up from a bad relationship. It starts with a feeling 0f reminiscing in Good Times Bad Times Times, realizing that the relationship is at an end in Babe I'm Gonna Leave you, the shock of break-up in You Shook Me, the feeling of despair in Dazed and Confused, the anger in Your Time Is Gonna Come, denial in Black Mountain Side, relapse in I can't Quit You Babe and in How Many More Times. All of the songs from the first album are A MUST! P.S.: The organ, in the beginning, is played by John Paul Jones. He could play more than 20 instruments, a combination of strings and key instruments.

In addition to John Paul Jones’ masterful Hammond B-3 intro, John Bonham’s drum accompaniment is so intoxicating that it could make your head explode.
@gregrambo6062 жыл бұрын
It was Bonham on drums that made this song, like on so many other LZ songs. Such a unique sound.

Nice pedal steel guitar by Jimmy Page, the organ was played by the bassist John Paul Jones

It fades right into Black Mountainside, which is a short acoustic interlude that sets up Communication Breakdown so well. Great stuff! Put out Whole Lotta Love however you can. Lots of reactors stick blocked stuff on Patreon or Google drive and then provide a link. Keep on going with the Zepathon!

That was the start of a new song. It was all acoustic. Black mountain side.

Oh wow! You missed "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" ??? Nooo.. you've gotta go back! "Whole Lotta Love" blew us all away - you can't get unblown (well??? No! You can't, you just can't). But you played it once? Once only?? Sure, anyway you want to do it will pass muster. But I remember just over and over and over and over on a lazy Saturday afternoon - the shopping was done, we all played our part, dad was at the pub for the duration and we weren't missing him drunken sod, but the record was bought and we were in raptures & the way I remember it those reverse echoes of Plant's were ringing in my ears all Monday morning (which is why I'm a bit skeptical - but okay, if you think you're still fresh to it )but I was sleeping thru the afternoon, my face hidden by my hair, lol Oh I did get a caning or two but that every moment of that day was seared into my memory because Led Zepp flooded me with dopamine and the girls skirts got decidedly shorter & their blouses fit snuggly and when they looked my way well for once I stayed right on dreaming - let them think what they may. It was a precious time - time precious, aaaahhhh!

John Paul Jones on organ, he is also plays the bass and mandolin.

I think 'Your time is going to come' is like karma will get you in the end. Jimmy wrote these lyrics not Robert. (Robert's name is not on the credits for the song). The only other person with credits for this song is John Paul Jones. Robert never writes vaguely threatening lyrics towards women. He's more into expressing sadness, frustration, reflection, arguing, pleading or moving on, when things go wrong. As for Whole Lotta Love some people say if you leave things a month or so the blocking stops. Others edit the music to avoid blocking.

It would be great to either watch your reaction on another platform like Vimeo or use the live version of Whole Lotta Love with your reaction interspersed. Love your reactions and can’t wait to see this. I Can’t Quit you Baby is a great Willie Dixon blues song that Zeppelin reinterpreted.

FYI every Zeppelin song has the words lady baby woman girl in it multiple times 90% of their songs are about women aka love songs

Because there is no such thing as a bad Led Zeppelin song!!! There are two kinds of Zeppelin songs(good and better)

@@user-bx7ht4vu4d I'd have to agree, they never really missed. Some say Presence is of lower quality, but that may be my favorite album, recorded in like two weeks, quite remarkable. Cheers.

I bought this in West London when it first came out after seeing them singing Communication Breakdown on TV. I can remember the shop and even what the weather was like. For me, this is their best. I bought the second album but skipped the rest. They used to use whole chunks of songs by the old Black blues artists but pass it off as their own. The British groups were admired in the States for paying royalties to these old men, often poor. Zeppelin were differentThey had so much money as to pay plenty to these people. . It put me off them.

Do live RAH versions (which are bangers, all of them) - there will be no problem I think. Your idea is good. Edit: related to your "cheating women thing" - the most cheaters are men, do not teach that young man any different. Plant is singing about things he is doing. He was the cheater. I doubt any woman cheated on him.

I think reacting to one version, while listening to another is impossible,as they never play a song the same twice
