use a hidden wallet, dont forget your password and protect your seed phrase. NEVER take a picture of the seed phrase or store it on a computer/phone in any way shape or form!

Hi when you use your seed phase to restore a wallet say you upgrade from a Nono s or other to a flex or stax, does the seed phrase no longer cover the old device just the new one? And if so can you re-set the old device and let someone else use it like factory re-set?

@ I beleive it does best way to find out is connect the old wallet nano up to lever live and see if when you do a receive command the wallet connects if it does then it also is still connected to your Bitcoin wallet, you could also do a restore by putting in the wrong pin 3 times and restoring with your seed words. I did my own research and that’s what I found out.

So your receiving address for BTC etc is the same if you have to get a new ledger? So you don’t have to have multiple “accounts” in the account section of ledger live? It will still go off of the old “Bitcoin Flex” account made by your old device? Please advise.

Yes, the new restored device will be an exact copy of your original device. No need to create new accounts.

Great information. Ledger did a poor job giving users a heads up about this feature. Why the 3 hour lockup period if your seed phrase is required to get back up and running anyway? Seems like a longtime.

Yes it was a long time. Of course there was no chance of losing my crypto because I had the seed phrase. But it was very inconvenient. Keep in mind, this is a security feature to prevent tampering attacks.

Hey dad, I’m a dad. I have the stax - but I’m nervous about moving my BTC to this wallet. I see protection mode and I’ll be done forever with ledger and buy a different wallet and move my seed phrase over there. And reset my ledger and use it for fun. I never use my computer. Just have it connected to mobile.
