Thanks great video. Staking on Polkadot is so complicated compared to other chains. In fact everything with Polkadot is over complicated.

Came here to stake the 244 DOT I had. The video should be "Convince me to sell my DOT forever" There are literally chains you can do this on your phone in seconds. This is like wood tech.

Would adding more validators increase the probability of getting slashed? You said that having the max of 16 increases the odds of rewards but would the same be truer for slashing. Thank you!

same as in your ledger live, I can only see one of the 16 nominated validators as „active“. All others are marked as „inactive“. Whats going on here?

Any people have issues with the Polkadot js page loading? mine never loads the whole thing and I don't see much.

Hey Rimmy, this could be due to a number of factors, such as your internet connection, browser compatibility, or conflicts with other applications. Make sure you're using a compatible browser (Chrome or Brave) and that Ledger Live is closed, as it can conflict with Polkadot.js. If the problem persists, you may want to try clearing your browser cache or using a different device. Also, to ensure digital hygiene, could you please make sure your versions are up-to-date in the order mentioned here: support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8458939792669-How-to-perform-a-complete-update-of-your-Ledger-setup?docs=true Then head to Ledger Live settings > help > and clear cache to refresh its block explorers Hopefully this helps!

I have been able to stake other coins outside of dot on my ledger. Due to the toughness of just staking, I’ll just sell out of dot and put more into near and sol. Tks for trying to

When following this, how long before first stake? All my validators say inactive though they are active they are not taking rewards on my stake.

Hey Rimmy, the time it takes for rewards to show after the re-bagging process can vary due to several factors. It's important to note that when you nominate, the bond will not be assigned to a validator during the current era. The next era, approximately a day later, if one of your nominations is in the active set and is not oversubscribed, then your DOT will be assigned to one of your active nominations and eligible for rewards. Rewards for this era should be paid two nomination periods later. If your validators are showing as inactive, it could be that they are not in the active set or they are oversubscribed. You can check the status of a validator in Ledger Live. It is sad that it required 250 dot before you can stake

And you need at least 451 DOT to get rewards

Sad that polkadot will continue to lose followers and hodlers with all the none sense of mínimums to stake and then the long wait to unstake. Look around and see how the competition is making life very easy for their communities. No mínimums and no time wait to unstake.
