Good tutorial. However, for everyone following step by step, as in my case, it is a real bummer to get to the point ready to stake and discover that actually a minimum of 25 avax are required to qualify. Why not to say that from the beginning? That would save everyone a lot of time

A lot of people on Reddit are just parroting what other people are saying. Always do your own research. I've had my legend Nano X for years and I've never had any problems with it.

@@CryptoDad maybe thats true, but I keep reading that the new update that hacks into the ledger devices, and steals the private key. this is according to reddit, but I dont know what is going on. the whole crypto is very scare so, for now I hold it to a exchange and then maybe I will buy a hardware wallet later on. Which device do you recommend ? except for ledger? :) thank you.

Great tutorial and wish I saw your turorial first. I am new to Core and transferred AVAX tokens to Core web but tokens are attached to a contact address and not my Core extension. How do I transfer them?

(1) only 1 ledger will connect to CORE hot wallet.. I have 2 ledgers so am locked out on one ledger from using core. (2) Looks like only ledger cold wallet will work (NOT TREZOR cold wallet) with staking AVAX using core wallet

cheers mate. legend 🩵 easy as. one question… the price at the time i stake avax does it lock in as well when i stake ? or is it update variable during the period until the end with the same apy?

@@natanhannah no the price does not “lock”. Just like the price of gold does not “lock” when you store it in a safe. It doesn’t really matter because your rewards are paid out in AVAX tokens not cash.

CORE isnt compatible to do that...i guess he didnt know this? trying to bridge them myself after staking and without the otiginal avax web wallet, the cost is high. Getting rid of my avax asap!

Great video. I have a question though. I transferred tokens from Coinbase into my wallet. They showed in my portfolio. As I was exploring how to stake my portfolio went to zero. Is there something I am doing wrong on the portfolio that will not let me see my tokens?

At 2:55, you only installed AVAX app on Nano-x, but haven't created any new account in Ledger Live. But at 3:35 you say "we already created a wallet and connecting to an existing wallet." Are you missing a step in between?

Hi, i moved my avax from C chain to P chain but I cannot stake or remove it and its stuck in "Atomic Memory Unlocked" I cant stake nor move it anywhere its stuck. I already had some avax staked which worked on avax wallet but I got forced to move to core.

I have my AVAX in the old AVAX wallet. I use a ledger device as well. I know AVAX wallet is ending some time in January. If you are currently using the old wallet, do you have to move it to Core or does it automatically come over? This stuff is confusing as hell, and when you are heavily invested, it is stressful as well.

If you are using a ledger device, just follow what I did in the video and you’ll be golden. As I mentioned, it’s not in a particular wallet it’s on the Blockchain and your device has the keys, so just connect your device to Core like I did in the video.

Sounds like a possible connection issue. you want to make sure that you’re device is attached, unlocked, and that you are actually in the avalanche app. I’ve often done this and forgotten to actually be in the app and as far as the website is concerned the device isn’t attached. if you have done all of these things and you’re still having this issue, then perhaps you could try some good old-fashioned troubleshooting for your connection. Try a different USB port maybe even try a different cable. You could even try the device on a different computer or laptop and see if maybe it’s something going on with your machine.

Make sure your device is unlocked and that you have the Avalanche app open. If that fails, try a reboot. You can also try using a different USB port or maybe even trying a different cable.

@@Zaaasa sure if you’ve got that set up it should work. You might want to double check to make sure it’s reading your device properly when you try to do a transfer or whatever in MetaMask. I’m just concerned that you have some kind of connection issue going on.
