Ac infinity is the apple of grow equipment. Made in China with an amazing/corrupt marketing team
@B01 Жыл бұрын
They are at the forefront of technology and innovation, which means they aren't like Apple at all 🤣 They offer cables to let you use other manufacturers lights with their controllers, sell adapters to use other humidifiers, etc. Apple is strictly proprietary ONLY, basically holding their customers hostage/extorting them. I see apple holding people down, I see AC Infinity setting people free. $100 controller that lets me directly control VPD parameters with buffers, can monitor from anywhere, has automations, instant alerts, target parameter holding? Yeah, suchhhhh a rip off eh? Bug off hater. Not defending their first and second attempt at lights, they ARE NOT highly regarded. Everything else though? Zero surprise they are number one in nearly every category on Amazon in sales with constant top rated products.

@@Ledgrowlightsdepot agreed but in this particular case goes both ways, ACI and Apple both top performers in their class in respect to sales. I just can't get behind the required proprietary connectivity by Apple, slowing down phones, battery replacement nightmares etc. Needing repair plans etc. Out of 30+ ACI products I had an issue with 1, and it was a tiny small issue that didn't affect usability just convenience (backlight on AirTap fan broke, to my own fault) and they said no worries sending brand new one and had it within 2-3 days later. I didn't need a service plan to fix the screen or something silly, they stood FIRMLY behind their product and sent a brand new one immediately. THAT type of service garners my loyalty, and it's safe to say I've not heard many similar outcomes dealing with the "Geniuses" or Apple support, rather the very opposite

Do the math. It's easy
@TexasGrown1978 Жыл бұрын
Efficiency rating ? Are you wanting how close to unity it is like power factor, efficacy rating of the chip's, or what. Now day's they are nearly all the same packing low wattage chips and high efficiency red's to get these numbers. I ran control center's overlooking area's the size of state's and your watt hour's will matter in the pennies in difference. Look for uniformity, even intensity spread, wide ban spectrums for m say 365nm-780nm with sharpe spike in 450nm and 660nm with plenty of 500s for better cri as well. Focus on better tuning towards what plants respond.
@Watson-ru4jn Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's pretty misleading that they try to pass off the diode efficiency from the datasheet as the efficiency of their fixture
@Watson-ru4jn Жыл бұрын
@@TexasGrown1978 how much light the fixture actually puts out per watt it's actually pulling from the wall. That 3.14 is just the efficiency of the 5k or mint white diode from Samsungs testing, with the diode being run at a much lower current in Samsungs testing than it is in the fixture, the 3k chips are less efficient than that even at test current, and samsungs testing doesn't account for driver losses. That being said if I had to guess I would say this fixture probably falls somewhere around 2.7 umols/j for the whole fixture (based on the # of diodes per watt) and that's still very good.
@TexasGrown1978 Жыл бұрын
@@Watson-ru4jn that's a fair analogy but watt hour's is actual pull from a nominal voltage say 110v in America but this is based on a 48v DC I'm guessing. Not surprising AC Infinity is being shady. I own an AC Infinity Cloudline T6, a 4 x 4 Cloudlab, a 5 x 5 Cloudlab, and just bought a Cloudforge T3. The Cloudline still works after 3 years, but is full of gorilla tape around all the cord ports that keep popping out. So for the price, it gets a Meh. BOTH of my Cloudlabs have had serious light leak issues around the extended zipper (because they didn't make the inner liner wide enough) and the stitching at the vents. They are both full of black Gorilla tape to try to take care of all the light leakage. Again, for the price I should have just gone with a generic tent that would have had the same light leak issues but saved some money. The Cloudforge was a 3 day long battle just to get it to kind of maintain a steady humidity, it seems to be steady now, but at the price I wish I would have stuck to generic humidifiers hooked up to my Inkbird controller. AC Infinity is easily the most overpriced and over-rated brand in home growing.
