Great review! I have my eyes on this headlamp for quite some time, but there's one thing that's questionable for me and I wanna ask you.. How does it feel those almost 200 grams on the head? It's too heavy, or you can wear it comfortable? I'm between 6R and 8R. There are many advantages of 8R, but I wonder if it would become a strain on my head over prolonged use. I want to use it on hiking trips and sometimes, I can find myself hiking during the night for 1-2 hours. Do you think it's suitable for this type of activity?

Thanks! I am a big fan of the high lumen output of the HF8R, but I do start to notice the weight after wearing it for some time. The HF6R has great light output while feeling noticeably lighter. If you aren't bothered about the automatic focusing (which I've quite enjoyed using) and don't need to squeeze every last lumen from your torch then the HF6R is a great choice.

Buy 1 get 1 free was the selling point for me. Wish I looked at the battery before I purchased as all my battery things works with one size😢. Do you have a decent power bank you can recommend review? Can you swith the unit on while its on charge i normally have a second battery in my pocket my mh10 just broke

There is a trade-off between a removable battery and a non-replaceable internal battery. It is great to be able to carry a spare battery to swap it in when required, but products often having their own battery you may be at a disadvantage carrying spares for each product you own. Whereas a powerbank could be used to keep a number of different devices going, which is much more efficient on weight. That being said, so far I have been impressed with the battery capacity of these LEDLENSER torches and I can't imagine you needing to swap out the battery provided you plug the device at some point when it's not in used. It looks like you can run the light while plugged into a charger (tested on my HF8R) but personally I prefer to avoid charging lithium batteries while using them.
