Artifacts are weird. You have items that unlock totallly new playstyles by breaking specific units. And then you have the most boring stat sticks in the game with infinity force / anima visage / hull crusher.

Not sure if it’s covered somewhere but I tried to give one unit 2 spectral cutlasses once because I was interested how the teleport would work. Turned out it gets reversed, the unit doesn’t teleport at the beginning but teleports after 8 seconds. It was actually useful

This interaction was really fun to be honest. In fact the unit does teleport at the beginning, but the second spectral teleport it back to his first location, that being said, after the 8 second the first spectral trigger and then the second one, bringing the unit to the desired spot on the backline

Thank you leduck for all of your informative videos. Maybe that's not much, but let me payback by saying this - blighting jewel works with laser eyed and it's amazing. My cyclops Mundo destroyed the enemy team all by himself. But he also had seeker's armguard and that might be hard to obtain with artifactory gone.

If Riot is intent on removing creativity and cooking potential because they can't balance certain interactions (suspicious trenchcoat) and just want to make artifacts into novel experiences instead, then they could at least get rid of the uninteresting ones like Infinity Force and Hullcrusher

Just no. People "cook" for like 3 times total and find broken combos between artifacts, and then everyone copies them. Theyre fun in the same way bullying or a broken comp is fun. Free wins with absurd mechanics. Because artifacts have unique effects their interactions will always have some broken things. So instead of making them all weak, removing the ability to get tons of artifacts is better. Sorry, copying a combo of 2 artifacts is not "creative cooking".

There is a weird interaction with trench coat and the Yellow Jewel Support Item It gives you base Damage Amp% for your whole teams and it increases every second the user is alive, however once trench coat is activated, the acumulated damage Amp doesn't disappear, instead it multiplies by x3 and it keeps on increasing for each second alive of each individual copy!

Kogtank is still strong, you don't really need a dominator emblem. I like to do 4/6 automata and 4 emissary with tris as bacline dmg. Tris takes care of the frontline and kog's base damage can deal with the backlines

Blighting jewel with the singed hero augment is really overpowered! I got him 4 stared and he ran through the enemy team with that item, they had no chance to do anything to him

The artifact is like to be changed the most is Deaths Defiance, which has an interesting effect on paper but is just not really interesting. Also infinity force while not bad by any means is rather uninteresting since it just goes on a random melee carry to buff them in a similar way to titans. Lastly I think snipers focus might need a change cause the intersting part about getting extra range is already covered by 2 other artifacts in a better way so it just gets delegated to being good on units that can target units across the map but doesnt really offer something that interesting.

One unit is Vander with Deaths Dance. For some reason even a level 2 vander with this item can tank like 25k damage. Something to do with his ability double dipping into the passive or something.

I personally feel that if artifacts are intended to be a rare thing to get they should have an appropriate power level to suite. Right now their current balance is around how accessible it used to be. Now while some of the artifacts kinda fit the expected power for them to have, some don’t, are too niche, too obscure to use or overlap with each other. I know RFC, fishbones and snipers focus aren’t the exact same item but functionally they’re usually given to a champ for the same reason. You’re mostly giving Noc one of these for the range bonus not the secondary effects, etc; Like stuff like Ludens is fun but there’s usually not a whole ton of champs that end up utilizing it. Right now it’s what, Maddie and Lux? Mittens same thing, fun item when it has a use but how often do you take it? Like you have singed augment 100% insta grab even just for memes right but what else right now? Like even most of the tank items just feel kinda underwhelming? I love the idea of visage but it feels like it kinda underdelivers most of the time? I just. If accessibility to relics is removed it would be nice to see relics given a bit more of a purpose. Too many of them are too niche.

Hey, great video! I personally think the artifact that teleports at the beginning of combat should be removed. It’s too randomly swingy, and I feel that zephyr as a support item is similar. Just out of nowhere these items can steal a win from positioning rng, when two people are swapping last second.

I have found that Ekko makes a surprisingly good use of Spectral as well, as Ambusher lets him make use of the crit chance without needing to waste an item slot on JG/IE, and Scrap gives him the extra health to survive in the backline long enough to get a few casts off. Giving him the Camille treatment of HoJ HoJ Spectral can turn him into an absolutely amazing assassin that can usually get off one to two casts before spectral warps him back. Just be careful to NOT run Firelight, or he'll dash away before fining off the enemy backline, which can be a bit annoying. Goes great in the Perfect Synergy Family comp as Powder gives him Scrap and Ambusher (But you will have Scar giving him firelight, so be wary with that one) but even in a Scrap Ambusher comp it'll work too, honestly better even as the more scrap shield he has the more likely he is to live long enough to assassinate the backline.

Since Artifacts aren't tied to craftability, they never really have to remove any to make space for more. If something is underwhelming or uninteresting, they can take steps to make that item more interesting rather than removing it, no?

There's a lot of double up bugs atm. Freezing, mana locking, perma casting, etc all can happen when units transfer

The current Trinity Force is such ass (both enjoyment and impact) so I had this idea: Trinity Force rework: Unit's damage (incl. ability) scale from all sources. This would make Dominators, Gargoyl, Anomaly scalings, Seeker go wild, plus it will make the current boring support items shine better. And I think it'll be relatively balanced fundementally too, since the scaling conversion can be adjusted without.
