Chaeyeon doesn't even look like herself anymore and it hurts. I know she does some changes during her izone days but she should stop at that time, she's the prettiest in hush rush era, but she did a major change in knock era and i can't help but feel like she's completely different person. It just doesn't feel the same anymore when they look so different.

I hate to be one of those people .. but I think if she would have just let herself grow up into her adult face everything would have worked out .. I’m noticing that the distance between the lips and nose plays a big role in attractiveness too

The procedures definitely helped her fit the industry standards more, but I can’t help but think she looks a lot ‘older’ than before. Chaeryeong looks better after her surgeries I would say, but whatever. If she is a successful solo artist then it’ll be worth it for her but I can’t help but think she’ll need “maintenance” for her remaining idol years.

​@@buddies6389 yeah, that person is wrong about fillers - they're meant to address a volume loss (and also are fairly prevalent in kpop hence a lot of severely underweight idols maintain plump cheeks, kinda insane that someone this young opts for it). while botox's (or botulinum toxin bc botox is a brand, there are quite a few other brands) use addresses muscle movements and injections into masseter muscles (they're located towards the back of the jaw) help to achieve a slimmer look bc they shrink in size after injections.

Literally both her and Chaeryeong were brutally critiqued to the ground for their natural features. I remember when their mom openly made a post begging people to stop saying mean things online about Chaeryeong when she first debuted. They were so naturally gorgeous. People can be so cruel. The thing is these idols do improve their beauty to fit in with beauty standards with the initial procedures, but at some point, it starts to become too much and they look botched. But they say once you start getting plastic surgery, it's really hard to stop.

This one for me is def one of the sadder cases :( nowadays she doesn’t look like herself anymore. I always loved chaeryoung’s & chaeyeon’s original unique features, especially their noses. Especially since chaer is in itzy & their whole concept is about loving yourself & being a bad bih despite your flaws. I personally dislike chaeyeon’s new nose… it doesn’t fit her at all nor does it even look natural. Her old nose fit her face so perfectly, it wasn’t kpop standards but it fit HER & she was so unique, it was her charm.. I wish she (and other idols that changed their features) knew this. She’s so unbelievably talented, I wish the industry would let people shine for their talents & stop worrying about looks so much. Keeping looks as the number 1 priority in kpop will only bring the industry down, as more pretty faces debut with 0 talent & forcing actual talented people to get a million different procedures.

I started noticing how oddly round her cheeks got and the nose change during late 2020 for iz*one's ssots promotions. I was taken aback when her eyes got wider too, like I really thought I was the only one who caught that. Not surprised considering how knetz were always talking shit and making fun of her face back in pd48 until debut. As for chaeryeong, there was a lot of weight loss for the most part, but she probably did get work done too since the comments bring it up. Still, will never forgive knetz for how they bullied these girls into believing they were too "ugly" and "fat" to be on stage

It's so sad how people with praise natural beauty and shame people who aren't naturally beautiful as if that's something they had any decision in. And then if they DO actually do something about it like surgery, they get shame for the surgery and they get even more shame if the surgery is done poorly or if it's noticeable. So the people who were prettier before also get more of a pass on surgery since their surgery is considered "subtle." No shit it's more subtle if you started off pretty, you have less to change. If you were born less pretty, your surgery will be called "too much" because it's more to change. Literally what do people want people to do? Nobody can control if they were born gorgeous!!! So I know a lot of people say: it doesn‘t matter that they got ps, they are still beautiful, don‘t critique them, it‘s their body ect….. I don‘t think that is okay. I also don‘t think ps should get normalized (sadly it already has). I loose a lot of respect for an idol when they have done ps (I know it‘s pretty much everyone), it sets a bad example for young fans, and no, they are NOT doing it for themseleves, they are doing it for the public, for money, for fame. I don‘t respect that. Don't forget about the make up hack and the yoga face. I've experienced it myself. Other people say I had surgery, even though I only wear braces and do facial yoga regularly. And of course make-up. Take a look at some make up hacks. Also whatever she does, as long as it doesn't hurt you, try to appreciate it. And if you don't like it, just avoid it. We are both human.
