I don't think Da Hee is mean or try to be mean. It's just her reactions are very strong and to some it might come off as rude. To me, she seems to be a very passionate person who gives 200% in everything. IMHO I can see chemistry between Da Hee and Somin, even to the point Somin even playfully punches her (like LKS would do to KJK when he gets pissed) even tho they haven't known each other for years. Also you guys seem to miss the little scenes when Da Hee and Somin (and all the girls actually) hold hands and stuff. I like all the fixed female guests that came. I wish they were actually permanent members even Sang Yeob. I never skipped an episode with all of them, I loved it all. It just gave a whole new vibe to RM, and I actually really wish they were permanent.

As Dahee hugged her, Somin's head turned in the opposite direction, a reflex reaction to avoid Dahee. I agree. The way the cast members reacted is what made this unacceptable. They were clearly uncomfortable and displeased with the way Da Hee was acting here. If they weren't so obviously tensed and uneasy about it, this scene wouldn't bother me. Jae Suk's low-key thumbs up to So Min was definitely trying to make her feel better. Da Hee is fine as a guest, but it's clear that in the long term, she wouldn't mesh well with the cast members, not in the way that Sang Yeob and Han Na do. Haha was not smiling at all when she exploded on So Min until he followed Jong Kook's cue and took his joke further to lighten the mood. Not to mention in another scene, Haha outright said some of Da Hee's words are what turns him off the most when it comes to guests.

Opinion / Suggestion / Comment or anything! 1. PD choose Lee Da hee because in her past appearance, she help to increase the rating.. so choosing her is not regrettable. 2. Since her Episode in this RM, i never stop Laughing, even my sister who is not fond of a korean show, she finds it funny too. 3. You said Hong Jin Young is way better than Dahee, i dont hate HJY, Honestly i like her in Unnies and she slay the Rap part in "Right?" but in here, except of interaction with KJK, i didnt notice her at all. 4. Da Hee is new to Variety Show, i observe her as "Since we are together, it's okay to be friendly" personality at the same time i think she's not being rude.. also, 5. Da Hee is so competitive that you guys get upset, but when knowing her in her pas dramas, you'll like her. 6. it's just a game, you're saying that to dahee (even tho we dont know if she will know that) but aren't you and Lee Da hee is being the same? like Da hee is competitive in the game, at the same time, youre Exploding just because of "Just A Show" 7. So min, got her revenge before the end of the show, since she punch Lee Da hee. HAHAHA PS: Lee Da hee is older than Jung So Min, so being rude is not an issue, you watch it, that she apologize or hug her immedietely. what so rude about that? PS 2: So Min Fake and Awkward Laugh is for the game, since it might be exposed by da hee.. Dont Just Watch! Observe too. PS 3: Lee Da Hee is kinda Perfect when i see her in drama, but After Running Man, i dont know anymore.. Especially in Finding Coach when the writer explain to her the rules again.. also the quiz. lol.. she's easy going.. PS 4: I cant take out in my mind that Lee Kwang soo said that da hee might be a stupid.. it just funny to me..

People are just overly sensitive imo. There's got to have been times when some of the Running Man members were sincerely angered but chose to smile through the situation and make comedy out of it bc it's their jobs. If So Min laughed through Da Hee yelling at her, no one would say anything. Also, Da Hee yelled at SoMin for attempting to steal her pillow/ seat and that was funny for the fans. It's just their dynamics. And I think you're right about Da Hee being new to variety shows and not exactly knowing how to act accordingly. When she yelled at Kwang Soo, everyone thought it was hilarious. I believe her being competitive and somewhat being short-tempered is part of her genuine personality, but I can also believe that she probably thought that viewers and the cast would be okay with her being angry and so she chose to do it again at SoMin.

I can understand lee dahee's feelings. She's not being a bully here she's just very excited and let's not forget that in other scenes they kept teasing her desptite knowing how sensitive she is and then turning it against her when she's upset saying "It's just a game" AFTER callimg her an idiot and telling her to go to mental hospital but when she received all those jokes well they kept on going till she cried and even then no one comforted her but kept saying that she ruined the atmosphere Anyways in this particular clip she apologises to somin after a second when she realizes her mistake. People are all different and we have different personalities i believe that each person should be treated based on their personality not based on yours.

I see a lot of people viewing negatively on da hee but being korean and speaking the language and understanding social interactions from cultural perspective, I didn't exactly find her to be mean or rude. I do think she definitely overreacts a lot and sudden bursts can be shocking to the other party but she just seems to be a very competitive person who seems close to Somin. Somin is younger than her and Da Hee was using banmal (informal speech), which means they most likely acknowledged their social status and may be to a certain degree comfortable with each other that she now talk somewhat freely to her and with each other to some degree which to other people who don't exactly know Korean social culture and don't immerse themselves in it may find this rude and mean. Honestly, she's like a female Kim jong kook and he says things like this and acts like this all the time. Im not exactly sure and could be wrong about her because I haven't watched this entire episode but I didn't see any rudeness from this one clip. Just thought I give some cultural perspective!^^

This comment is a year old, but I thought I'd add my (opposing) two cents in. (You should totally ignore this since I'm replying to your very old comment lol). I'm also Korean, speak the language, and understand the social interactions. I personally found Da Hee to be a little mean and rude. I do mean "a little." As you probably know, oftentimes, older people ask if they can drop jondaemal (formal speech) right away (or soon after meeting someone younger) if they'll be spending more time with someone, especially in a setting like RM, where they're traveling and playing games together. For anyone that doesn't know, that kind of banmal (informal speech) right away doesn't automatically mean the two people are close (just have the potential of/willingness to getting close). I watched the full episodes when they first came out and found Da Hee dislikable (not that I hated her, I just preferred the other women and my queen Hong Jin Young). Jongkook scolds the younger members a lot, which was something I didn't like until I realized the younger members found a lot of humor in it and then I understood it, because he has a lot of affection for them. While outbursts like Da Hee's make for entertaining content for a variety show (with a lot of smoothing out from the experienced members), she just forgot she was on a show and let her emotions get the better of her. What ticked me off was that Da Hee seemed to forget that everything they do is supposed to be taken lightly. Whether Somin was losing on purpose, or she genuinely said the wrong answer, Da Hee should've teased Somin about her being the spy, not her intelligence, which was the line I think Da Hee was toeing. That makes some (not all) people uncomfortable, including me, who agrees with all the commenters who say they wouldn't be able to play a game with someone like Da Hee. (For another example, there have been a couple of times Haha got a little bit mad/frustrated whenever a guest/member wasn't adhering to the good faith of variety shows, i.e. when they were being too stubborn or too competitive in an non-entertaining way. He'd take off his hat/beanie and tell the PDs "I don't want to do it/play the game anymore!" in a dramatic and funny way. I equate Da Hee's behavior to that.) I don't harbor any negative feelings about Da Hee. I don't think there are any negative feelings between Somin and Da Hee. I'm happy these episodes came out and I'm happy they're done (though I'd love to see more HJY). I'm glad to see RM continuing strongly. No hate to you!
