Something about him rubs me the wrong way. NOTHING to do with sexuality, I am a strong supporter of the LGBT community, BUT he seems to speak first and ask for forgiveness later. A few examples I've seen recently: 1. He offered the Empire Part of Monique, AS WELL AS a part in the Butler, but did so before running it by any of the other producers or co-creators, so in the end he has to come to monique with his tail between his legs and say "Sorry, they went in another direction : / " She was publicly humiliated when the other co-creator of Empire said he NEVER offered her the gig, because he probably didnt know Lee was making offers behind his back. 2. In a recent interview, Lee said that he REALLY wanted to tackle the issues of extreme poverty in the second season of Empire, but when the SAME interviewer later asked the OTHER co-creator, he said "Oh, we've (two creators and ALL producers) only had one convo about the second season and NOTHING has been fleshed out." Then the interviewer says "Oh, but we just had Lee here and that's what he said." Co-creator: "haha, well that's Lee for ya!" 3. Monique also claims that Lee called Halle Berry a bitch in an interview, but later just blamed his statement on the "nerves." Now i HOPE that this is all a misunderstanding, because he has done some great work, but I REALLY hope he isn't some entitled producer that thinks he can do or say whatever he wants. Idk, Ill keep looking for him, though, he's got a good creative mind!

Director: Lee Daniels. stated on NPR on Jan 5th, “when I first showed the movie [Precious] at a Harlem Theatre, the audience mainly African Americans laughed, as if the movie was a comical/comedy” he continued “ when I showed the very same movie two days later at Sundance Film Festival, the audience mainly Caucasians, you could hear a pin drop”. A Black person made this statement regarding black people. What was he implying about black people. What else can I say? As a white guy, other than I rest my case. Perhaps it is the very same rational why black people don’t see the damaging effect of Affirmative Action. I am not certain what was Mr. Daniels implying. But it does not reflect well on …black people.

Because "Precious" was a comedy. And he was giving White people what they wanted so they can see we knew we were right. White people need to check themselves, because they're no moral compass in Real Life either. Lee Daniels movies are degrading, stereotypical and straight Lies.
