You say he reminds you of Jim Carey, but to us brits, he's more like a famous old actor called Norman Wisdom
@nonnovyabizness3003Күн бұрын
As an older brit I have always seen him as an English Jerry Lewis rather than Norman Wisdom who chucked himself about a lot but didn't do much with his facial expressions , whereas Jerry Lewis did both !

@@nonnovyabizness3003 To compare Lee Evans to either Jerry Lewis or Norman Wisdom insults them both.
@nonnovyabizness300317 сағат бұрын
@@jameswiglesworth5004 As we are talking about three people your statement didn't clarify which one you thought was whatever ! So all I can do is say it is like comparing Einstein to son of Ugg ( the smartest caveman on the plain the first to pick up a stick and hit someone , the inventer of the club ! ) What I'm talking about is you have to take into account evolution and keep it in perspective ! When my grandfather watched comedy he liked slapstick because talkies (movies with a soundtrack and not a man playing a piano in the theatre ) as he called them wasn't around , my father and the early part of my life comedians told jokes that lead to a punchline , then in the 70's Monty Python introduced surrealism inspired by their idol Spike Milligan in the 80's in the U.K a new generation of what was called alternative comedians came along , but the modern comedians do what is called observational comedy ! So my point was not to compare like for like but to point out if a comparison was to be made it would be a closer match based on the two attributes rather than the one ! Hope that clears up my comment for your vague oversensitive contribution just try to take comedy a little less seriously and understand not everybody has the same sense of humour so there can be no ultimate or best comedian just lighten up and try to enjoy what you like rather than trying to prove your right and everyone who doesn't agree with you is wrong ! I won't wish you a Merry Christmas because I'm an atheist and don't know what religion you support but get the feeling that whatever it may be you will probably have militant fundamentalist leanings and don't wish to fuel another argument whether that be a five minute argument or the full half hour !

Can’t beat a bit the genius that is Lee Evans😂😂. You can only bump start a manual ( stick shift) car. Automatic cars you can’t.
@thehonestcritic657720 сағат бұрын
Push start is only applies to manual cars , the driver would sit in the car , handbrake off , clutch to the floor and select 2nd or 3rd gear and IGNITION ON all while stationary . While still with the clutch to the floor the other person / persons pushes the car up to at lease a jogging pace ,once fast enough the driver releases the clutch rapidly , this will make the engine turn and if your lucky will start , and as long as the driver pulls up and doesn't turn the engine off you will be ok. This procedure really only applies if the fault is a flat battery . So your basically turning the engine like you might have done in the old days of a engine crank handle.

Perfectly explained, had to bump start my mother's passatt a few times when I was younger, especially in the winter when the cold battery just wouldn't wake up. We would constantly tell her to get it fixed, but according to her it was exercise for us kids. Don't see it happening as much today, especially since the introduction of portable battery jump packs. Battery technology has advanced a lot since those days as well. I can't imagine trying to bump start a modern car, they are much larger and heavier than they were back then.

I was trying to push start the wife’s car. I walked through the process of how to do it and then she turned on ignition off she said I thought it would save a little bit of power that was in the battery to make it easier to start. She is still alive

You cant push start an automatic, with a manual gearbox you can bump start the car by letting the clutch in while someone is pushing, or while the car is rolling downhill

I think the greatest gift ( Not school teaching). ie life.Is to listen and not give advice. People will know you respect them and then are open to your experience. Tell them nothing about yourself and just give your experience of life. They don't have to take it. That's all I have to offer. ❤

Bump starting hasn't been a thing since the 90s, as most modern cars / trucks are too heavy, fully automatic (no clutch), and have all kinds of electricity dependent emu, immobilisers, entertainment systems, cameras, ... . A manual transmission, with coil and carbs, rather than computer controlled, direct, electrically pumped, fuel injection is what you want. Principle was a moving car, around 5 mph, you put into 2nd / Reverse gear would turn the motor and more importantly the alternator over, which would produce enough electricity (before cars came packed with a thousand and one electric toys) to produce a few sparks, via the old wire coil and spark-plugs, to start the ignition process, no battery required; just as long as the key was in and ignition and in the on position. Just like the old crank handles of the silent movies, or early series Land Rovers, achieved by manually turning over the engine and alternator, but while in neutral.

@shehd1983 Any Indian actor would by numbers alone and a very active film industry in India alone would swamp any Jim Carey product. They got 4x America population, china too, because they're 4x your population and restrict US films. Do you still think he was the "biggest on the planet"?
@SirHilaryManfat17 сағат бұрын
Nothing absurd or egotistical about it, Jim Carrey was the biggest actor on the planet at one stage. Also Jim Carrey is Canadian, so there's no U.S. jingoism at all in that statement.

@@El_Smeghead Why is it a selfish comment ? As for your comment.. "learning" about how KZbin works .. While international rules about copyright exceptions are often similar, they can differ. Different countries and regions may have different rules about when it's OK to use copyright-protected material without the copyright holder's permission. In the United States, works of commentary, criticism, research, teaching or news reporting may be considered fair use. In the EU and the UK, more limited exceptions are recognised and the use must fit into specific categories, such as quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody and pastiche. Other countries/regions have a concept called fair dealing that may work differently. Some of the content you have posted whilst on your travels would get you arrested in some countries..
