Would be a crime to say " I am an American by birth, nationality and ethnicity, because I was born and raised in California? Not Mexican, even if my mother is born and raised and is from Mexico?

🇺🇸🎵If tomorrow all the things were gone I worked for all my life And I had to start again With just my children and my wife I thank my lucky stars To be living here today 'Cause the flag still stands for freedom And they can't take that away And I'm proud to be an American Where at least I know I'm free And I won't forget the men who died Who gave that right to me And I'd gladly stand up next to you And defend Her still today 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A. From the lakes of Minnesota To the hills of Tennessee Across the plains of Texas From sea to shining sea From Detroit down to Houston And New York to L.A. Where's pride in every American heart And it's time we stand and say That I'm proud to be an American Where at least I know I'm free And I won't forget the men who died Who gave that right to me And I'd gladly stand up next to you And defend Her still today 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A. And I'm proud to be an American Where at least I know I'm free And I won't forget the men who died Who gave that right to me And I'd gladly stand up next to you And defend Her still today 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.🎵🇺🇸

I agree with Rusty Denison, it's so vibrant, so touchy to my heart, my husband was in the service for 20 years and trough him I learned to love this Country, he fought in Vietnam 2 tours on his 1st. He was shot 7 times, at the end of his tour, he recuperate in one year and then volunteer to go back for another year, I question him and his answer was, "THEY only have 19 and 20 years old soldiers to send they do not know how to fight, I do!! So he left, I'M SO PROUD IF HIM, he has been gone for nearly 6 years, but to me will be here forever, as well as for his 5 children we had. "GOD BLESS THE USA"

Lee Greenwood sang this song and gave a speech at my graduation from Choctaw highschool in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in May 1989. I have always thought about how he said it was an honor to be at our graduation as he had missed his own. It was amazing to have him. It would be really cool if he could come to our 25 yr reunion as an honourary guest!

This song was sung by the school chorus at my son's middle school graduation, 9 months after 9/11.Although it was not rehearsed or planned, every student stood up spontaneously at every time the "stand up" phrase was said. Hip-hop was big then, but every student sang the ending chorus several times. Because Hip-Hop was big then, I was surprised they all knew the words. Every adult had a tear in their eye when the students both on stage and off-stage finished. Don't worry America. Our future is in good hands.

Wow! I really love this song......I am both an Army Vet and a Military Brat so I know very well what it means to grow up in the military and also to serve in the military. My father was the first soldier who taught me what it means to be a soldier --- a black American soldier fighting for our great country. First, of all in the military, we are all military personnel -- race, gender, skin color do not matter. What matters is that as a PERSON serving in the Armed Forces that you can be counted on to be trained to lead, fight, assist in conquering or subduing the enemy, complete your mission… and do your duty as a soldier --- anything else is immaterial! We, the people will not be divided and distracted and made to focus on the things that supposedly divide us --- We must stand united against a common enemy .....terrorists from beyond our borders and embedded in our cities......and we stand united against our corrupt government helmed by Obama and Crooked Hillary who are the enemy from within...They are destroying everything America stands for and selling our country to foreign powers. Around the world --- America has become a dirty joke....with our weak and lame-ass President and his ignorant foreign policy advisors who are backed by a corrupt media that CONSTANTLY feeds us biased and slanted information and downright lies! Witness their concerted and disgusting efforts to vilify Trump in each and every way that they can while not condemning Hillary for her illegal activities and irresponsible behavior --- and SHE is supposed to be qualified to the next POTUS…..Please, let’s be serious! Finally, we are tired of our political leaders who have been working against the American people --- milking us like cash cows and encouraging hatred and suspicion by constantly playing the race card, police brutality card, the gender cards, you name it ---- while at the same time giving us only what they want us to have and ripping us off of our democratic heritage, our economic wealth, and our strength and pride as a nation! But now the PEOPLE of these United States of America…..are going to stand up and elect someone who might be able to give America a fighting chance to truly become great again….and allow us individually to work towards prosperity, security, and pride and dignity FOR ALL AMERICANS. Vote Trump 2016!

@Shirley Marie Bradby I would be honored to call you a friend and a sister American!! I have no idea what you are doing right this very moment, but I want you to know that, you have written everything so perfectly and eloquently and my family feels the same way! We *WILL NOT* be told who we hate, by PC liberal mainstream media!! We *LOVE* every great American AND every American that has lost there way. I pray for those that have been lead astray by the tv news and what they CHOOSE to show!!! As strange as it seemed to me a year ago, that our only hope was Donald Trump....... I DO believe Donald Trump has the deepest intentions of giving this Amazing Country back what we have lost and it is going to take a non-politician, American citizen, that does not care about being PC and knows that the SJWs are just keeping people in a victim mode. Victims can not be victorious and I want any American that wants to be free and prosperous.....To Be Free And To Prosper!!! I thank you for your service to The United States of America Shirley and I thank you for this amazing message!!! God Bless you! p.s. You should put this message on a KZbin page. It really is that great! :D

+Melissa LuvsPlease Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my comment with such positive and encouraging words! I have only expressed what MILLIONS of American citizens have already said when we all voted for Trump in the primary elections! Many millions more will make their voices heard when they vote for Trump in November! Now we must continue --- more than ever to support Trump and his social, economic, and political strategies that can allow ALL Americans to intelligently work together to make America great again --- a country that is fair, prosperous, and safe! Trump for POTUS 2016! May God bless you and your family too! Stay safe! :)

Shirley Marie Bradby You are most welcome and you are so right! We must do whatever it is we can do to show our support for Donald Trump and Mike Pence. I am sharing and sharing *and* sharing as much factual information as I can. From both sides. I had hardly ever used my Facebook account as I love G+, so I thought it would be a great place to show my support of Trump and supply reasons for this choice and also to say apologetically, why I do not support Hillary Clinton. I stated that nothing on my page would be funny, as this is our beloved Country that is a stake!! What I find mind numbingly incredible is, no matter how many horrible things she does or has done, people still try and defend her behavior. Now, they do this only by comparing her to someone else and by deflecting and keeping these people on topic is absolutely impossible! I have started to ask one simple question and that is, would you be open too receiving your news and information from other sources then the mainstream media? I have to start somewhere and getting these people off of the left, PC, SJW, victim mentality media and onto some great black and white reporters on KZbin, would be a huge start! If I could help them see that these people make no money and get no bonuses from reporting only the types of news that gets them higher ratings and views. Then maybe, just maybe I can help them hear what other people have to say. You write far more eloquently then I do. lol I write with a passion that is streaming from my heart and mind and it can get a bit ahead of itself, but I will do my best. God Bless you Shirley and I hope He keeps you and your family safe as well. :)

So true about the Military. I spent 22 years as a United States Marine. We don't give two damns about color or race, its about taking care of that man and woman to the left and right of you. We always spoke in shades of green if necessary to speak of race at all. I was a light green Marine and my buddy over there was a dark green Marine. The artificial divides that we have in this country are non-sense. Yes celebrate our cultures, what ever they are, but not to the exclusion of our great nation. I have more in common with my buddy Kevan, a dark green Marine, who I served with for several years, than I do with some dude who happens to be white that lives down the street. I wish we could all see the wisdom and truth you typed and understand that this is where our country is right now. We all need to work to get it back to being great again!

I too grew up a military brat and served in the Navy. Until I was out of the service I never really knew that we were "supposed" to view blacks as anything more than people with a better tan! We are all members of the human race and we are fortunate enough to live in the USA! First time I heard this song I was on deployment in the Mediterranean. I think it was 1986 and we were in Naples, Italy at the US Navy base there. This song came on and suddenly there wasn't a sound in the enlisted club, everyone was on their feet. And then every single person, black, white, short, tall, male or female that knew this song was singing. The love for our nation and camaraderie of brothers in arms was flowing from every single person there. It still brings a tear to my eye as the memories of that flood to mind when this song plays! Thank you for your comments!

This shows how many people are appreciating our country and it makes you think of all the other people that would kill to come to this country but we, who take this sacred country for granted cant appreciate it without being asked or reminded.

You know the problem foreigners have with this song ? We will stand up for and promote freedom anywhere in the world, and those who oppress and lord over other human beings are scared we might just bring freedom to them, In my opinion ALL people deserve to live in a free and equal society. I am a disabled war veteran and I never regret I have fought for freedom for ALL mankind !!!

Well, that's a great opinion, but the world isn't the United States. I hate how my tax dollars are policing this damned planet. How about the US puts the majority of its revenue into education instead of the military? Maybe then we won't have a bunch of retards so gung-ho about going to war for bullshit reasons. It's never about going to war for "freedom" anymore, it's all $$$$$. That's it!

Lee Greenwood your song "I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN" is the most beautiful patriotic song ever written. IT TOUCHES billions HEARTS AND SOULS and united a country, when played for huge crowds. The words in this song was only given to you by the Almighty GOD to have an impact on America forever. Lee we love your loving soul for giving us so much hope, love and peace. President Trump knew the lyrics were the right words in this dark time for America and its existence. President Trump is a good man the best President ever. GOD bless you and your family.

I am grateful to be an American - I am not a theist but "God bless the USA". As Greenwood says, "there ain't no doubt I love this land". People who disagree need to try another country - see how well that works for you. I have experience, being a LEGAL immigrant (not "undocumented" or ILLEGAL as is the appropriate term that people cringe against). I am sure there will be trolls against this statement. Tough. There are several like me who detest trolls and illegals.
