i'm sorry to say this, and this is very late, but this is a better stage than baek a yeon's. i mean, i love snsd, but it should feel like the contestant owns the stage. Yes, taeny had a massive stage presence, and they did a lot to make a yeon stand out, but looking at her performance, it kind of feels like 'meh'. maybe she was shy, idk. but for lee hi's stage, it's so different. miss a was amazing, but they gave the stage to lee hi, made her sing a lot and lee hi owned it. no hate on this comment, but an observation.

Definitely she can. Some rival fans tried to label her as someone who can't dance/doesn't have lively expressions based mainly just on the way the producers edited her 1234 music video. But the funny thing is she has actually done more dancing, choreography and amazing expressions in her debut season performances than the majority of other debuting solo and duo singers. I always thought it was funny the year that she debuted when some people were trying to knock her for "not dancing enough" -- when actually she was moving all over the stage, dancing on chairs, twirling, doing complex interactions with back dancers and...meanwhile...several other singers who debuted around the same time literally did not move at all during their performances.

She looks like a really cute, slightly awkward newbie next to a glamorous girl group (which is pretty much the reality of the situation at the time). But I was just absent-mindedly listening to the audio of this in the background (as I was playing through a list of videos) while I was working on something else. I actually wasn't even thinking about who it was... but in the middle of it, I found myself thinking "ooh I really like those strong, husky-toned vocal lines of that one singer" and just then I realized that I had been listening to Lee Hi and Miss A........and the vocals that had sucked me away from what I was doing and brought the song from the "background" into the front and center of my attention...were Lee Hi's vocals. Even then in her amateur/complete rookie days her vocal performances really commanded attention.

This performance was great and on point. Love the way Miss A was able to highlight Lee Hayi because this is about her and the other contestants not just solely on the idols. These performances need to conform to the contestants and showcase their talents and out of all 3 performances i feel that this one did that the best.

She has an excellent stage presence. Her smiles in this performance were so adorable! She really seemed to be having a great time performing with Miss A. She did amazingly well--especially when you consider that she was still a complete "newbie" amateur at this time holding her own in a stage performance with one of Korea's big-name girl groups. "Stage presence" means keeping the audience interested in watching your performance. I couldn't take my eyes off Lee Hi.
