BigHit is truly a beast. The raised their artists the same way: talented, humble, kind, extra, hilarious, and supporting. Band pd-nim truly has an eye for artists. BTS, Lee Hyun, TXT. All of these artists are amazing. And if you look closer, you would find that some of these amazing artists are ones that have been rejected by other companies, while others are one that were chased by companies( looking at you Jungkook). Yet, BigHit gathered them all together under the same agency and nurtured them into the Kings they are today.

BTS has been so popular but I was not really following their update until they released Spring Day. I think Spring Day made me love BTS even more. The lyric is truly beautiful. Similar to Lee Hyun, the first part when RM says "I miss you. Saying this makes me miss you even more" . That's when I fell in love with the song. It's truly beautiful. When they relate it to the season change, I was also surprised. It's not the first time I heard a song telling a story about how seasons change but Spring Day gives me a different vibe. The feeling of yearning feels so original. From the start until the end. It's just so beautiful.

Well the song is actually not a love song.. as it goes deeper in the lyrics, it is about loosing a friend and coping with the feeling of loss. It is also linked to the sewol ferry tragedy and the political issues about it. BTS and Big Hit took a big risk releasing this song at that time, but gained a lot of respect from the Korean public for it. I highly recommend you to look it up.

The fact Spring Day is dedicated to the Sewol Ferry victims makes the song so much more meaningful. I never knew that until just recently. Now I can’t help but cry every time I hear it. 400+ students boarded a ship to Jeju Island for a field trip. However, they did not make it. The ship started tilting, and the crew and captain told the students to stay put. No one was there to help them. The staff kept the students in the dark about what was going on. During autopsy on some of the students, it was revealed some of them had broken fingers due to possibly breaking the windows out of hope to get them open to escape. There was a couple who tied themselves together so they wouldn’t be apart, even after death. The diver bringing them up was apparently so moved, he did everything he could to make sure they weren’t separated even after they were brought up to shore. Sadly, a diver who participated in the search committed suicide because of the trauma he had from bringing those children up and seeing so many bodies. The Principal (or teacher. I can’t remember) unfortunately did the same. He felt so guilty that he didn’t wanna live anymore. Instead of getting everyone out to safety, the captain put his own life first and escaped long before the ship started to actually sink. The only children who survived did not listen to the staff. 300+ children were lost in that incident. 300+ students went on that ship. 70 students came out alive. To this very day, 5 bodies are still missing. The captain got life in prison. *Never forget 04/16/14🎗*
