@@Wssnnn.00multiple counts of negligence by every responsable autority, specially the rescue team, they had every tool and they did nothing. And the captain changed into civil clothing to hide his identity and jump out of the sinking ship, after telling the kids to stay inside. They even had available a US ship in the area filled with marines trained in underwater rescue who offered their help, and they refused. They were untrained, unprepared, and they had hours, but they just sit and pretended to do work (literally pretended) and watched the ferry sink, the night fell and still didn't move. About +200 middle school kids broke their fingers trying to get out and died. The fisherman of the area did more to approach the ship and try to get people out.

You know... I've been thinking A girl only as old as Jungkook, with such an incredible voice, won a national competition at the age of 11, face no less pretty than that of an idol, instead of going to the normal, easier to be famous pop route, she chose to learn gugak and preserve her nation's heritage. How proud South Korea must be to have such a talented singer like her. Edit: I'm sorry for my ignorance. I've edited the genre from pansori to gugak. I assumed she was singing pansori because, in the interview section, BTS mentioned about pansori. In no way I assume that idol groups have it easier. I know idol trainees are practising very hard and even some didn't get to debut or debuted only for a short time. What I meant by famous was that pop genre (in this case k-pop group) usually has more fans both locally and internationally as supposed to other genres like k-hip-hop, k-band, or even traditional music. They appeared much more often on music shows, doing concert around the world, and usually deemed more 'sellable to the market' by agencies. Because of that, I respect her for taking the non-generic route and in a sense also preserve her nation's heritage. Hopes this clarifies my intention! Sorry if some wording isn't proper since English is my second language.
@wholesome_broccoli4 жыл бұрын
she's the same age as jk??

The route to be an idol is in no way simpler than the route she took. Idols don't have it easy in any way. She went this route because she wanted to and not to disparage idols. There are great talents in both arenas, they're just different genres.
@charlieko95274 жыл бұрын
@@Theoanno7 op was not saying that idols don't have it easy, just that they believed idols are more likely to be famous as opposed to a traditional pansori singer. I can definitely see where they are coming from as idol kpop music is much more widespread/global as opposed to pansori, which is probably known mostly in Korea or among people outside of Korea who are particularly interested in traditional Korean culture.
@Theoanno74 жыл бұрын
@@charlieko9527 I did read the post hence my response. To your point, the % of trainees who don't make it to debut, or who debut and still don't make it is way bigger than those who do. It's still the less glamorous choice. If anything, Miss Song choosing the less traveled route guaranteed her success since there is little to no competition. She enjoys national and international acclaim deservedly.

The fact that us non-Korean ARMY understands each lyric & meaning by heart, made this performance full of tears for me, adding to her powerful, most heartfelt singing in Pansoori style, the stage production & sincere projections of the lyrics too.. When she repeatedly delivering ad-libs like “I Miss You”, “Snowflakes are falling down”, “I’ll go meet you” in a very soulful way i really can share the pain of whoever’s missing someone especially separated by death.. It reminds me of this Pandemic’s suffocation & frustration, also of Sewol Ferry’s saddening incident too. SPRING DAY is a QUEEN, FOREVER.

Amazing cover! She made it even more heartbreaking. Okay, we aren't stupid. Btw BTS might not have said it straight and possibly will never admit, that Spring Day is a song about all the SFD victims, but like people in Greece say "What meows on the house's deck?( -The cat)"(a phrase used when something is so obvious), but it is clear that Spring Day is a tribute to all those involved in that incident. For those who don't know about the Sewol ferry disaster, it is one of the the deadliest recent shipwrecks(21st century) with 304 reported deaths, of which 250 were school students going on a school trip. The captain and the crew members were the firsts to flee the sinking ship, something prohibited by the international marine laws. Sewol Ferry Disaster(SFD) is a very sensitive topic in S. Korea due to the fact that the government and the broadcasting networks misleaded the public opinion and tried to cover the whole situation stating it as "Just a ferry disaster" . All korean news broadcasting networks at the beginning reported that all students were safe and there was no fatality. What an irony! The aftermath of the SFD are huge protests all across the country, the yellow ribbon movement, the impeachment of the ROK president Park (edit: like D.Trump of S.Korea. S.Korea like the USA, uses the presidential democracy system. I used D.Trump as an example to describe the President's duties. You can name him as you like. Clinton, Biden, Bush. I never intended to offend him. I'm sorry if someone got offended) as she tried to cover what happened along with the help of NIS and not conducting an investigation to find the cause of the shipwreck. The definition of a mega villain. While children were drowning she was in her bed, having her hair done and "preparing" for the emergency meeting. She even had a blacklist about artists and public figures whi tried to raise awareness about the SFD. And all those are peanuts infront of what actually happened. BTS are legends!!

@@remyy1793 I didn't compare D.Trump him with President Park. I just used him as an example of what a President position is. There was a (not so recent) interview where bts indirectly admitted that this song was about the sewol ferry tragedy. I don’t remember if it’s earlier this year or late last year, but Jin said that Spring Day is about a “sad incident” and with the context, it was clear that this is truly about the sewol ferry tragedy. One of the things very admirable about bts is that they never shy away with these issues, they have always been using their music and their voice to speak up.
