Basically what I almost went mad saying while the drama was airing. I was loving how Haru was written to be the super caring, cute guy but all of a sudden everyone is loving the toxic guy who Dan Oh had zero interest in from the beginning. Lee Jae Wook is adorable, but like Kyung and Dan Oh just never fit. I don't even think the writer ever wanted him to be a potential love interest for Dan Oh. Its just when he finally gains conscience in the shadow, he sees how his actions have been hurting her, and comes to resolve his own personal issues. He was a very interesting character but definitely not for Dan Oh.

Unpopular opinion ahead: I really do feel sorry for Baekyung but he definitely does not deserve Dan Oh... he never liked her in Flower (literally using her and doing the exact same in Secret AND is still rude both on the stage and shadow!!!) is and even though he’s becoming a bit softer, he still sees Dan Oh and treats her like an object that’s “his”... (when Haru said: “Dan Oh’s her own person" I screamed 😍 what a respectful guy)… and Haru ain’t stealing Dan Oh away from Kyung, Haru’s love for Dan Oh is transcendental! … Kyung lost me when he hurt Dan Oh so much and even went as far as saying "It's not like you're gonna die"... people like Kyung with such a painful past cannot rely on others to make them happy, he needs to find happiness elsewhere and reflect properly on his actions- if he could be abusive towards Dan Oh and others for 10 years, just coz he’s swaying our hearts by all that childhood flashbacks (yes, I was also swayed 😅 Lee Jaewook is 👏), huge character development is still needed until he could be deserving of Dan Oh’s love… I think y’all are forgetting that Kyung still treats her the same both on stage and shadow! I have SO many theories and i need to spill, i can't contain them any longer 😩 if anyone actually reads this long comment, there will be webtoon spoilers ahead!! After reading the webtoon, i realized it's drastically different from the drama. and, in the webtoon, haru and dan oh end up together. However, since the drama has several differences, im hoping that'll be one thing that stays the same :( i believe haru and dan oh have met in a previous comic! The flower one! Haru tells dried squid fairy that dan oh and the flowers seem very familiar, and the flowers didn't show up until dan oh did. haru also takes dan oh to the pond with the flowers, and when she asks how he knew about it, he says "you don't know this place?" He also took her to the old palace. I think those are scenes from the previous comic and he remembers them and he's trying to see if she does too. Dan Oh also jokes that she must've been a princess in her previous life, but haru looks quite uncomfortable and thoughtful, so i think that's a hint. he also played a historical tune on the flute extremely well, and aced one exam while failing the English exam. Saemi jokingly asks haru if he is from the joseon era. It seems dried squid fairy knew haru wasn't supposed to be there. I also think the black hole is a portal into the other comic! This drama is so insanely interesting and i hope to see a happy ending with dan oh and haru !!! they deserve it !!
