A lot of people choose not to kill them because they don’t want Clementine to see. I killed them both even though Clem saw it because the world wasn’t gonna get better and Lee could die any day at any moment so she needs to learn how to survive. Now killing people may not be a necessity to survive in the apocalypse but when there’re cannibals and psychopaths and such, you can’t always hide or run away.

I disagree. Deep down Kenny a good guy, but he gets on my nerves. He didn't bother to save Shawn at all, of course Duck comes first but he had plenty of time to save him, yet he didn't. Kill Danny, Spare Andy. Danny doesn’t have a single line of dialogue after you spare him plus if you let him shoot Jolene, he will make a comment about you not having the balls to do it plus he tells you to keep him alive. He also kills him in front of Clementine so she sees what Lee is capable of and he notices her reaction. He’s also in a bear trap so he can’t exactly escape if you spare him. Sparing Andy is better due to how the scene plays out as he screams and begs on his knees for Lee to end it. Him being beaten to a pulp or maybe getting partially electrocuted makes Lee realise he has been truly defeated and he can’t let Clementine go through it again. Plus the horror of seeing his mother turned into a walker and letting him suffer, knowing that his brother is dead after what they did to mark, makes for a more emotionally impacting scene.

I didn't kill anybody in this game when I could go without doing so. Both the brothers were not in the position to scape, walkers would've gotten them anyway.
