I like David. Yes, he's sometimes a asshole and he's a hothead like Kenny, but he is a good guy and a good leader. Kate, she isn't a bad person, but she's somehow very cold. You can't say something like "How could I love you?!" or even kiss Javier in front of him, because David have still feelings for her and it's very cold and heartless to act like that. The other thing is, that she's always blaming and she don't talk about her problems. That's why I really don't like Kate. Don't get me wrong, she's not a bad person, but she's acting very cold to David AND to Javier if you don't do, what she wants and that sucks. I wish David will find a woman who is funny, warmly and can calm him down if he's too irascible sometimes, because he NEEDS a woman like that. Not a woman, who's blaming him and don't talk to him. For me, this is the best ending, because I can't stand Kate.

once more I'm forced to step forward to defend another character that takes too much flack. although for Kate, I can completely sympathize with why people would dislike her- from what they show of her in present time she seems like a selfish love interest interested only in pleasuring herself without regard for her husbands feelings... but it's clearly much deeper than that. The reason Kate is a difficult character to sympathize with in personality is because much of what she does goes against Javi's own brother, and places his family in a cruel and unfair situation. But you need to see this from her eyes to truly understand the weight of her actions throughout Season 3. I believe Kate was suffering from some type of domestic abuse. It's implied from her lack of independence, and indirectly in the scene where she's washing dishes and David snaps at her and Javi. I mean, judging by how desperate she is to escape their relationship it seems that the apocalypse isn't what's been causing David's decline, it just amplified his war-scarred mentality to terrible degrees. Kate likely adapted to this by being co-defendant and latched onto the feeling of security and strength that Javi gave her, so much so that when she finally has the strength of her own to confront David (in what was terribly timed but had to be done eventually) she immediately turns to Javi for support. It's also clear from her attachment to Gabe and Mariana that sex doesn't take priority for her own feelings, as despite all she's been through Kate is still determined to take Gabe with her out of danger when she asks Jack to help her escape. This isn't a defense for Kate's actions, calling David out in his moment of frailty was a terrible move, but remember that no character in the walking dead is black and white. They're all human just like us. That's what makes them interesting. Oh, but fuck Joan still.

Although I don't kate to die, but I approve this ending because When clem and javi save David and gabe, David regrets his action and javi mention when their pa told them to take care of each other. And javi can keep the promise from him to show love for his own brother. And also, David tells javi that the hope he willing for will never happen because they were in a war that might never end. Even David wanted to change, but because of the way he is, he couldn't change. David decides to leave, but javi can tell David to come back, even though David didn't want to, because things has change, but does matter? No. So David would follow you back to Richmond to help kate, but by the time he was there, she was already dead. Although Davis is alive, but for three days David will be alone in silent; Not neither talking to gabe or javi.

The sad thing is that in season 4 this ending won't matter and that it's possible because how the way they are David will die offscreen, Kate would be split up from the group and never seen again and Gabe would not die but just not show up in the season but I don't know

With the recent news we got on how Season 4 will be, I think they're shifting the focus back to Clem. Edit: Meaning that Javier,Kate, and/or Gabe will still be alive, but offscreen.
