Wunderschöne und kultivierte Leistung dieser drei jazzigen Meisterwerks im relativ freien Tempo mit herrlichem Ton der Trompete, trockenen Tönen der Schlagzeuge und tiefem Ton des Kontabasses. Hi, Bob. My only contact with the music of Lee Konitz until now was an LP part of a jazz encyclopedia. But it's not with a trio but his big band. Very elegant music, I must say. And the liner notes explain that, at some point, he stopped performing for the most part and concentrated on teaching because he was a very pacific man and he hadn't the temperament to be a band leader. Sadly, Konitz's is one of the many lives claimed by COVID-19. May he rest in peace. Thank you for sharing this great music, Bob!

Thanks for your comments Alvaro! Konitz was undoubtedly a great musician, and yes, I read he died from Covid issues - though he did make it into his nineties!

Thanks for your comment! The ring helps to flatten records. I got this from a German company called Techne Audio and had it custom made to fit the Lenco-based tuntable I had at the time. Luckily it fits the oversize 301 platter with an Acromat that I have now. It's like this one: techne-audio.de/plattengewichte/plattengewicht-aussenring_Technics_SL12xx-_SL1200GR.html
