He said he is really 6' 4", but often lies and says he is 6' 3" just to let people feel more comfortable about his height, which doesn't really help much, because you can't change your height.

I don't get why people lie about their height. That won't make them appear shorter/taller. I am tall for a female (5'9) and lying that I'm 5'6, for example, to a 5'6 person would be ridiculous :D

Greta M. Some people are not observant and don't notice reality much, so once in a while you can say" I am an inch shorter " and they will believe you, especially since 1 inch is not a huge difference and I think Lee wanted to avoid people's reaction so instead of saying 6'4" he would say 6'3", but you are right. People can see your height and one inch is not a big deal. I guess he was trying to make a few people a little bit more comfortable. "some people can't handle the truth". ; )

Lee is wonderful, what a lovely guy. Also, this interviewer is great. He knows what he's talking about, and strikes up a great rapport with Pace, who though effortlessly charming here, seems to be an actor of the introvert type. You get so used to cringy, poorly executed interviews at big events, it's nice to see a good one.

First time I watched this, I wasn't even focusing on the interview, I was too busy staring at Lee's beautiful face. Second time I watched this, I wasn't comprehending Lee's words, I was just listening to the soothing sound of his voice. Third time, I tried to put his body, voice, words, and the interview itself all together. Failed, had to start over at staring at Lee's beautiful face. I finally managed to piece everything together on the 8th time of rewatching, though. Honestly, that was the most difficult thing to do in my life. How can I focus on the interviewer's questions when Lee Pace is right there looking as beautiful as ever!? Ugh, the struggle was real.

I've been in love with Lee since the Pushing Daisies 'Pie-lette' (gotta love Bryan Fuller's wit) and it's really cool to see him open up more as his career is going to all these amazing new places. He's finally on Twitter and seems to be having fun with it, his doing late night talk shows and embracing all the fun stuff that comes with being in huge franchises. Really really hoping he gets to do at least one episode of HANNIBAL next season - that would too exciting for me to handle, tbh.

Americans have many different accents. He spent his very early childhood in Saudi Arabia and barely remembers living there. His father was an engineer and he and his family moved around a lot. He and his family has mostly a Midwestern, American accent. He spent, at least, his high school years in Texas, but it is really more of a Midwestern, American accent. He was born in the Midwest too. He does like to say "ya'll" instead of "you all", which is a Southeastern and Southwestern word. Probably from living in Texas, U.S.A.

Also, most Americans in television and movies are told to lose their accents if they want acting jobs and if they want to appear on T.V. as news reporters, etc. There are at least 3 accents in New York City. Northern New Jersey, U.S.A., where I grew up, has its own accent, there are a few accents in New England (all states north and east of New York state) , U.S.A. alone. There are southern accents and Northwestern accents. People in entertainment business associate Southern accents with uneducated, unsophisticated people, so Southerners are told to lose the accent and have a plain "American " accent that does not really exist. As you get closer to the Northern border, Americans sound more Canadian, or maybe it is the other way around. I admired American actress Rosie Perez for refusing to lose her New York City accent and she still earned many acting jobs when people told her that no one would hire her because of her accent. More actors/actresses are keeping their own accents today.

He actually originally auditioned for the role of Star Lord. I read on IMDB that he got the role but then the producers changed their mind and he ended up as Ronan. I would've loved to see him as the leading man. His role in The Fall was amazing :)
