I've been following threads on youtube and am also amazed at his variety. I suddenly realized I knew him from "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day" (romantic comedy with great cast that includes Amy Adams and Frances McDormand, among others). After watching clips of "The Fall" I want to check it out as well as the film you refer to: What is the name of the movie where he played "a neurotic guy who raises dead people." Thanks!

I love the way he speaks, so slow and calm, choosing each word before coming out of his mouth. He really seems like an intelligent person, I wish I could know him one day, it would be so interesting, I feel like I could speak about everything for hours with him. And I was so disappointed by the way the killed off this character, such a waste of talent, honestly, he had the best acting in the movie in my opinion, sad that only few people appreciated it.

I had no idea this guy was on Guardians. I didn't care for this film until my uncle bought a CD, plugged it it the player and after a few minutes heard Lee's voice and spazzed like MAD. :)

Lee is an amazing actor! I hate modern cinema that absolutely spit on great talents! It had to be filmed non-stop. In fact, his talent is not used even by a third. Apparently : lack of patronage and influential lovers .

Ronan in a sense reminds me of Darth Vader just with the snippet from Guardians of the Galaxy. I have a certain affinity for both these characters right now, they are strong, intimidating, they have their own views on the world and feel very passionate about them... I really wish we got to know Ronan more. Like they did the side movies for Darth Vader in Star Wars.

Very underrated actor. He is phenomenal. Soldiers Girl- his first movie- is an outstanding performance. The Fall- Peter Jackson saw him in this and called him for Thranduil. Great casting. No one could have played Thranduil like Lee. Pushing Daisies, The Keeping Hours, Miss Pettigrew, HACF, Infamous, Lincoln, oh I could go on and on. Today he is in Apple tv s Foundation. Excellent series. Can't wait for season three. Lee is absolutely amazing as Empire ( Brother Day). Love Lee Pace. Great actor, gorgeous man. ❤❤

Compare Ronan to some nu wars villain like hux or even kylo. The difference is a million miles away. Ronan is intimidating as hell and believable as an alien warlord. Meanwhile hux is a joke and kylo is a barely intimidating emo. That's the difference between talented acting and writing to complete and utter hacks. Adam Driver is a decent actor who is wasted in his role.

He portrayed his characters amazingly. @@LovianHandmade An interviewer described Lee as shy, nervous and charming. Works for me! I loved him as Thranduil, no one could have done better. I thought he really brought Ronan to life and wished he had had more screen time. A commenter on another thread about Ronan pointed out that he actually wasn’t killed at the end. Huh? I rewatched it and have to admit, you assume he was killed but it doesn’t actually show it. It’s not like he explodes! Maybe a sequel with Lee? We can always hope!

Marvel, Fox, and Sony have partial ownership of some characters. Ronan is one of them, another example would be Quick Silver and Scarlet Witch. Quick Silver has appeared in Fox's X-Men and will appear in Marvel's Age of Ultron. Sadly characters like Galactus, I believe, are fully owned by Fox or Sony respectively. You'd really have to see all their terms and rights over the characters to truly find out what Characters Marvel can really play around with.

lol! Every actor must take a course in acting school called "How to BS inspiration for a character 101". Does anyone actually believe that he's actually doing this because he's a fan, or he likes fantasy characters, or somehow something in the script "spoke" to his inner being? Let's be honest, they're all just doing this for the money. If MCU's earlier movies didn't do so well, he wouldn't even think about taking this role. It's funny going to videos like this and seeing all the views it gets, so many people get duped by the soothsaying powers of these actors. They're trained to whip up hypocritical drivel in these interviews, so much so that even they end up believing their own puffery. Then behind the scenes they brag about what BS each other told the interviewer. Expecting to go to one of these videos and finding an honest perspective of what an actor was thinking when deciding to take their role is like trying to touch fire and expecting not to get burned. Not going to happen.
