God Bless You, Mr. Perry, for giving me 44 years of the most excellent music, many, many laughs and happiness. You helped me shape my life and influenced me, and countless others for the better. Give thanks and praise for man from Hanover Jamaica. You were like a friend to me, but I don't have to worry about you, because you are safely in the arms of the Almighty God. I saw him 3 or 4 times in the last few years before covid and he was awesome, I never had that feeling anywhere else and it is really sad my life won't have that again, and I know so many people feel the same. rip

True legend - his poetry was underrated; overshadowed by his raw sound talent, and the genius of Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Desmond Dekker, Toots, etc. but his poetry was great. My number one Jamaican producer. Even when he was insane I think he was always a little bit sane (so was I.) Scratch The Upsetters Again and Dry Acid are must have compilations, among all his other work. Who else worked with Coxsone, Gibbs AND Tubby AND Marley?? I Know A Place......

My friend, Lee Perry was not insane at all. He was a free thinker and a super conscious individual. He was supremely spiritual and psychic, nothing he says was from an insane mind.
@JohnR321113 жыл бұрын
People typically fear and criticize what they don’t understand. Insane is just a word conceived by limited human perception and language. Scratch transcended conceptual limitations and expanded and vibrated in the quantum field masterfully and lovingly with no fucks given to naysayers.
@possiblykombuchaslim93393 жыл бұрын
this is a man completely void of societal conditioning. A man completely in control of his thoughts. Was John the baptist not seen as insane in his time?
