This is a video about deer hunting that was long overdue. The fact that you picked your cameraman knowing that his beliefs are not aligned with yours, and the fact that he went into it open minded shows that we can find common ground. His cinematography was excellent and somehow caught more than just the hunt. It caught the almost spiritual reason that we head north and take on a deer under the deer's conditions. If I wanted to kill a deer, just for the sake of killing a deer, I'd stay home and shoot one off my back deck. Hunting is way more than that to me. You guys managed to capture that here. Great job Lee!

In my opinion, this is a great tribute to a true Maine hunting tradition: tracking big bucks. That the film maker could keep up with you, Lee, and capture every aspect of the hunt is nothing short of miraculous. So, too, is his portrayal of your thinking and what's behind your deer hunting. I sincerely hope that you two collaborate on more projects here in Maine.

You won’t ever forget it , you will be dreaming about it when you least expect it The memories never leave you. Now as for hunting, I once came back to the world for a season it was so hard to go back. The deer camp will always be there and you will get back. Keep your focus on what you are doing now and think about tomorrow tomorrow . Be safe . A little advice from the medic .

At age 58, I have been seriously hunting deer for 43 years. During those many years I have. Put my boots on with great optimism.
