D.O. is average height. Lee Young Ji is tall for a girl in Korea but one would argue small in the Netherlands. It's all relative. Stereotypes of tall bf leaning down to kiss petite girlfriend in the West in particular are outdated tropes. Tbh anyone who goes out with a good-looking partner would feel insecure. Lee Young Ji chose height because of personal experience. But it could be anything looks, age, weight, race, disability. Its what you're partner make s you feel about you're perceived insecurities. @@D.OKyung-t7n i didn’t say he is short. he is shortER than youngji and that’s a fact. she is considered average height in MY country, but you can’t deny this ‘outdated’ trope STILL exists in korea. the only reason i even brought it up is bc KNETZ have been raving about it. not me. there were literally so many hit posts gushing about their (tiny) height difference and calling him manly for accepting the song and starring in the mv despite their (barely noticeable) height difference 😭

I love the plot / message of the song because youngji nailed it perfectly. Not to mention the moment kyungsoo starts singing, his vocal tone and english pronunciation just takes me out of this world! What an adorable and amazing collab! 💕Sweet.

A little about our tall girlie, she was most known for being the 2nd season and only female to win High School Rapper which is a show me the money junior kind of show. She blew up with her personality on social media among the younger generation and then went on to become a big variety star with a youtube show that doesn't get less than 1M view per episode. (In her early youtube days she had an interview with Kai which is also cute). Last year (?) She wanted to prove herself as a Rapper so she competed on that year's show me the money. Risking her image to prove herself as more than an entertainer, she ended up winning the show and topping charts with the songs she made there. Around the same time she featured on BSS which ended up becoming a great hit. This is her next great hit. Youngji is very popular among her generation in korea and is one of the mos sought after stars at the moment. Last year was definitely her biggest year since aside from BSS and Show me the money songs she also featered on Smoke (the song from Street Woman Fighter) which was a big hit as well.

Kyungsoo had me at the wink ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh butterflies heart flutters palpitations spasms seizures and then all the flirting… and then he sings of course wtf his voice and then the kiss?! Youngji is such an impressive songwriter at such a young age and I love her singing voice. Im average sized but totally relate to the big voice big laugh big personality, when i was younger often wondered if boys/people in general would like me more if I had a smaller/softer/sweeter personality. Love love love Kerry’s reactions same same same. PS the Assistant Director said the kiss was in the script but Youngji couldnt make any eye contact with Kyungsoo the whole time hhaha so her reaction could very well be genuine 😂

you should really see more of Young Ji i must admit though i have never heard of her till the collab was announced and i started researching. she's amazing. I love her voice, rapping or singing, there's a reason why i love Pink and Kelly Clarson's voice. Its the grit and the big voiced tone and the slight rasp, the hoarseness i love it! She won both rapping major tv contests in SK . i heard people say this is a departure from her usual style. I've seen clips of her , pffft. she's one big ball of energy! she's usually so boisterous and has a really big presence but here, shes the one singing and left the slight rapping with Kyungsoo. Ah Kyungsoo, while his voice is fantastic in ballads, folk indie acoustic style that he likes, this right here is his wheelhouse. His voice as you said, has a lot of soul in it, the richness and depth of it is more apparent when he sings rnb or hip-hop, even jazzy genre. Someday I hope he gets to release a whole album of it though i doubt i will ever not love any music he makes, rnb or not. This combo came out of nowhere but I am so glad it happened! i was dying of cute!! People are pushing for more romcoms for Kyungsoo even more haha. The twist here is that he is now preparing for a villain role in a drama and he's practically giddy with it. well there's a reason why he's called unpredictable. he will be amazing in it. wsih you could also see him acting too. thanks for this again!

It was so good and so cute. She is considered a major artist. She has won high school rapper at 17 years old, then the major rap show, show me the money 11. She has massive talent. Compared to kpop ladies she is larger lady. She is just great.

D.O He does drink, especially he has been seen on Exo ladder or other shows drinking beer And you can see it with two too many drinks in a program he did with other singers (the only one I knew and is close to is Zico and Crush who sang with him at the wedding of an actress friend, but I didn't know him from anything else, the rest of the participants were older than him but he gets along great with people older than him and in that program he has a great time, like a young child) where they take them to a charming bar they let them drink and after drinking they tell them, get ready that we have a test for you and they did not give foot with ball, D.O is seen leaning on a column with a little face... Seventeen's little sister!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As a Carat, I died. This song has a great message and when I first heard it I cried so much because of it. I wish all young girls would listen/watch this and aim for this kind of love - one that just LOVES you even in your insecurities. Young Ji is amazing and the whole album is amazing!!! Please listen to it!!!! She's TALENTED!!! I also know that she, like many others before her, has to fight Kpop female standards. So, yeah, she's big, she's also not because she doesn't fit the "image" of a Kpop female idol. But you can't hide that talent forever!!! I'm super glad she released this song though; because it must be hard to try and breakthrough in Korea when you are someone like her. This felt like an exorcism on her part. Anyways, I feel spoiled. Your conspiracy theory was kinda right, cause timing was adlib! They had to kiss at 3-2-1 sign but after signal he kept talking to her, so she was confused if it's filming or BTS.Then he suddenly kissed while talking so her real reaction came😂❤So cute
