I'm so sorry brother. I wish I could tell you it gets easier but it doesn't. My wife of 22 years died 9 months ago. I'm angry, filled with rage and anger. I separated from the church got fired from the Department and drink and cry myself to sleep every night. I hope your journey is easier and you can make better choices than me. Love always

In 2004, I got the call that my Dad passed away. Dad had a hard life and he had problems expressing how he felt. Your stereotypical Midwest farmer tough man. I got in my work van to drive home after the news he died and this song started when I started the vehicle. The song is everything I know he wanted for me. I was a bit of a freespirit and he was set in his ways. I knew that day he felt God's unconditional love and this song was his message to me.

I am so sorry for your loss my dear, i hope your daughter dances and passes that love along and may your family's hearts be warmed forever by this song and many more songs of hope, love and perseverance. sending warm and loving energy to you and yours. I wish I could give you a great big hug and I hope the pain becomes a little bit more tolerable. I know that kind of pain lingers, but it's finding ways to live with that pain and not become consumed by it. I heard the most beautiful expression yesterday that brought me to tears while watching a movie and, in this movie, the widow says to her stepdaughter, telling her about her deceased love of her life "he wrapped a string of lights around my heart." I know that I am a complete stranger, but pain is something I am all too familiar with and anytime I hear about someone who has experienced a terrible tragedy, I cannot help but become overwhelmed with emotion because I don't just empathize, I am a highly sensitive empath and I just want so badly to help everyone I meet or hear about with their pain and let them know that even if we are strangers, I care and I wish I could heal their pain. I hope I haven't rambled on too much. May peace and love be with you and those that you love and may it protect you and them as well.

I dedicate this song to myself. For many many years I've been battling with eating disorders, depression, grief.. I stopped being happy I stopped going out of the house, I packed on the lbs. Well today I decided to get up and dance. I will fight. Every day I will dance to better myself and improve my life.

This song is motivational. Basically tells you to keep moving forward no matter what. When life gets hard give faith a chance to make life better for you. And when the opportunity comes take it full on. There will be mountains (obstacles) but don't be afraid keep going never give up but give faith a fighting chance. Always stay hungry and keep growing. Mom hopes you never had to go thru tough times but those tough times is what makes you who you are. I wish much success and prosperity to everyone reading this, no matter what you do in life. Stay hungry for more, take the path least traveled and keep faith burning

" I hope you dance" is tattooed on my right foot. My Mom gave me this advice when I suddenly lost the hearing in my left ear...15 minute "episode" and it was gone and I was left with the constant snowy tv sound in my head. I was a RN and prayed it would not change my career. It didnt... 15 years later my brain has taught my ears to listen in stereo again. The human body and mind are amazing. I thank my Mom for not letting me give up and keep listening to the music. Never stop dancing🙏

It is like she wants me to know she is still with me and my kids or how she would love to be around with us. I still don't know how, but you and me will have to learn to live and be happy without our Mums. I believe they are not gone forever. We will see each other again one day.

I told a father's a few years back, that his daughters would come looking for him, when they turned 18. The mother has left him while he was at work. There were two little girls, both under 3. The oldest girl turned 18, and that very same day, called her father's sister's and wanted contact information. I know this happened to another of our friends. She also contacted her father's family. A parent will always have a bond with their children, no matter what happens. 💕

The lines about not giving yourself cause to "Look back and wonder" When I was a young lady and this song had just come out, I focused on Womack. ...but those back up vocals are so haunting to a woman about to break 40, when she's struggling to not regret parts of her past and is worried she doesn't have much of a future left before the next trip to the hospital leads to an obituary...

I’m 38 years old. I’ve sat out most of my life. I’ve never really “danced.” I’ve had a decent enough life, have many happy memories, especially from my youth. But I’ve taken almost no chances on my own. Never took any chance at love. Always took the path of least resistance. And lately, I’ve felt very tired...and lost that sense of wonder I once had for life. This song is very bittersweet for me. As I’m sure it is with most everyone. I hope everyone, at some point in their life and in whatever capacity they can and that has meaning for them, “dances.”

I would be very grateful if this song speaks to the souls of others as it speaks to me. "I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean..." Well... that will always be true for me. I lived with my parents on a 36-foot sailboat when I was 7-12, and there were many times when there was nothing on the horizon for 360 degrees- in day, and in the middle of the night. If you want to feel small in relation to God or the world, you should spend a calm new moon night alone on the deep seas. It will quite literally change you as a person. Being surrounding by nothing but the night sea is virtually the same thing as traveling to outer space. Nothing but pitch black below you. Nothing but stars in their brightest fullest majesty above you. There is no cathedral in the world that can make you feel more in the presence of God. Strangely, utter solitude and isolation makes you feel like you are most at home. You look up and see an indescribable wonder of simplicity and complexity existing effortlessly together. And then you look over at your Dad, silently keeping watch and a hand on the tiller, and you know that you are home. At home with family among nothing but the stars. If you believe in God, you will never find a better place to feel His presence. I assure you.

This is one of the most beautiful, inspiring songs that has really touched my heart ❤. I'm going through some of the most painful things right now. My mom had passed away on June 13th and my goddaughter had passed away on June 30th. Not to mention, I am about to face being homeless and broke alongside my daughter who has autism. This cut is the remedy that I truly needed to hear. Kudos to Lee Ann for writing a great song. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
