Hi Lee, I would love a video on how to make the different skimmers we see on your videos. Thanks!

After watching this I'm dying for a coffee 😂 I don't think the word is percolated I think it's perforated. Although pretty informative and will be using some of the ideas in this video. Keep up the good work ❤❤

You've made a cracking system there Lee 👍

It's simple but it works. That's exactly what was needed. It's also not costing much to run an important consideration these days.

Hi Lee, great work on the system. I looked through all the videos but cannot find any information on the pump and pipe size used for recycling water from the biofilter back to the 4x2500l fish tanks. Could you kindly provide the data? Thank you!
@leecalladine10 ай бұрын
The return pipes are all 1.5in. the pump is a 1500 litre pump.

@leecalladine Great, thank you!! I thought the pump had to be sized to turn over the total volume in the 4 tanks (10,000L ) in one hour, but since a smaller pump works that would save on electricity bills. I'll downsize to about 50% on my system. Thanks again.

@@EmekaAbiayi there is no definite science to any flow rate. We also have air stones to maintain O2. Many ponds run effectively turning over the water over several hours. I do think if possible you should try to move the whole volume every 2 but even that is not written in stone.

@leecalladine Will do. Thanks again for the replies and information.

Brilliant vortex ideas really simple brilliant 👌👌

The vortex is big. That means lots of solids can settle out. Bigger always works better.

Having seen this I'm going to add a static bed like that to my vortex using an empty 10kg food tub. Thanks for the idea!
@leecalladine Жыл бұрын
I am convinced the static bed works well. The moving beds just let the fines pass straight through.

Good Job Sir. Please how long does it take before the water starts smelling and the need to replace the water?
