So informative and professionally put together; no other club has anything comparable on KZbin. My club Bristol City has had wilderness years all my life and I'm pushing 60!

Amazing series. I binged watched every episode. As a Liverpool fan I've have and still do respect Leeds as one of the BIG English top sides. Their relegations (recent years as well) have robbed the top division of some of THE major clashes in the game. Also learning amazing player facts about Leeds, the length of service Allan Clarke gave is outstanding. Lorimer, Cherry, Gray, and particularly David Harvey, I had no idea he served for so long much less only when Lukic appeared did he really lose his place! Also what a gem of a fact to discover Leeds nearly signed 18yr old Ruud Gullit!! Finally to mention, having seen the first 2 episodes there is no doubt in my mind Leeds should be on 1 European cup for sure. The Jimmy Armfield story of going alone to UEFA to negotiate the ban reduction is astonishing . Gutted, I've now run out of episodes (for now) . Thankyou for putting this together.

Have really enjoyed watching these even though I'm a Birmingham City Fan...we've had Wilderness Years since 1875! Brilliantly put together... having watched them all so far in the last few days I can't wait for the next one to become available.

He actually said if I haven't won this club a trophy in 3 years I'll count myself as a failure, at least he won us the FA Cup when it was the biggest at that time.

Allan Clarke was manager when we went down but the damage was done by Jimmy Adamson who was out of his depth at Leeds

They should have left Jimmy Armfield in place and built the team around Duncan McKenzie, Tony Currie Joe Jordan.

The damage was done from the minute the board didn't give Giles the job in 74. The board royally screwed the club. It wasn't Clarke's fault. He was right: standards were shite at Leeds and the players weren't hungry, but his approach was the wrong one for the time.

And the fairs cup, as well as uncountable games. A truly great striker: the best finisher ever to wear the Leeds shirt; and he would die for the club.

Loved Clarke as a player - one of my favourite Leeds United strikers of all times BUT he was a very poor manager. Too much of arrogance. He was the youngest manager in the league at the time in such illustrous company such as Bob Paisley, Bobby Robson, Ron Saunders and Terry Neil, among others, but acted like a seasoned pro - what with smoking cigars on the bench and talking big. Could have avoided the drop with the players he had at his disposal - there was talent in all departments. He failed to manage them cleverly spending a lot of money i vain. It's a pity, given his immense contribution as a player.

As a player he was world class; but an individualist; and perhaps not the type to make a good man manager; but he did a fine job at Barnsley. Too much too soon. He should have had far more seasons in the lower leagues. But a brilliant striker: not counting John Charles, Clarke was the best forward Leeds have ever had.

To freeze out your top players is not a wise decision considering the present condition. Imagine Ralf Rangnick freeze CR7 David De Gea and others. The dressing room spirit will be up in the smoke.

I remember Peter Barns debut at Elland Rd he was brilliant but for some unknown reason only sniffer knows it just didn't work out for him at Leeds. Brilliant player all the same just didn't fit at Leeds United while Clark was in charge but to be totally honest Clark was an awful manager had zero people skills and transfer listed any player who spoke against him including Barnes . Blamed everyone else when results went against us and never took any responsibility ,great player worst manager ever .His treatment of an England international Barnes was disgraceful never gave the lad a chance . I once met Clark and Bremner on the same night and while Billy was a lovely man Clark was a moody arrogant bully , horrible person .
