I was thinking of Jeffries too. I remember him running wide open around the TT and burning up the clutches in his bikes. So that power with the weight on the bike wide open was enough to cause the clutch to not be able to harness the situation. Jeffries was my favorite being in a big guy he inspired me.

He had a great sense of humour as well, I never watched the TT for a few years after Dave got killed but here we are 18 years on still talking about him that speaks volumes. 🤙

McGuinness said in his book that Dave was the most naturally gifted rider he ever came across. Dave and Joey of course.
