Writing from Sweden, there are a lot of off-grid alternatives to showering and stuff, for example you new house and the barn behind it, I mean you can in that place probably if you want to make the journey go complete off-grid both powerwise and waterwise, in USA you can buy refrigartors and frezers and washingmaschines that runs on propane , and there are also propane electrical generators, and your roofs should be able to power solar and windwise you can have windturbines. If the laws and rules allow it the you can pump water from the local source and filter it and use it as drinkingwater. Warming water can be done from fire from wood/propane/electric.

Your videos are just breathtaking beauty and positivity. I do however have a yearn to build you a watertank and some basic piping. You can get a simple composting toilet and you're away - you'll still be waaaay off the grid, but your like will be easier and you can still make these brilliant videos.

When a screen on a laptop quit working it's usually (9/10) because the flexible print cable is broken. This typically cost about $20 on ebay. Usually you can repair it yourself if you're careful and record deverything you do when picking it apart so that you know how to reverse the order.

Again an outstanding video, Leena. You have such very good skills. Respectfully, I would disagree with you when you say that ultimately it doesn't matter where you live. It does. I think you meant something like "home is where the heart is", home is where you are loved, and in that sense it doesn't matter, but to live in nature, to have it sooth you, fill you with its mystery, seep into your bones, that is what matters for some of us, that is what saves us.
