For those with reactive dogs, this really is a godsend. But i cannot stress this enough when i say KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING BEFORE USING THIS. Using these can do serious damage physically and psychologically. But when they work, and you are consistent, for specific dogs, i probably wouldn't be alive. Use only as much force as is needed to accomplish the behavior change, then move on. Dont make a huge ordeal when you do it. Just donit then continue. Thank you Leerburg for all the years of hard work. Your products are top notch

For anyone reading this: I know that dog training can be difficult sometimes, but you're doing great. Keep up the good work, and your dog (and your own sanity) will thank you for it! ❤️💕

it would have been cool to see a demonstration of using the DDC as a back up collar to the prong collar!

I don't use a prong, but I do use these as a backup for my dog's harness. They're honestly really handy to have! It's great having the peace of mind that if my dog's harness breaks, they'll still be attached via their collar.

That's great, I'll try it. My Corso is not dominant and walks pretty well. But she sticks with me purely as a courtesy. We both know she can take off whenever she feels like it.Her recall's solid but I would like not to simply depend on her goodwill. She works on a flat collar as it has made little difference with chains and such. We'll try the D-collar!

The thing is you have to be stronger than the dog here. If your a small women trying to control a large Corso. - you may not have enough strength. This is not a magic training tool. When working with dogs that want to over power the handler - the advice is to pick your fights and donty pick a fight yopu canb loose.

I guess you missed that comment that I imported sel;ection tested dogs back in the 1980's - I stopped doing that back in @1988 or 1989. So those dogs are all in dog heaven. 🙂

I ordered my DDC for my Newfies, the noise of the prong stresses them out and I’m walking 300lbs of dog therefor I can’t have them running at every dog they see. Hoping these are less stressful for them than the prong

The only way this will work is if you introduce dogs that are this size to t he DDC one at a time. Once they all know it then try two at a time. Read what I wrote above.

Prong collars don’t hurt. I try everything on myself before the dog.
