Starmer has just cut a deal with the bbc to “ save the licence fee “ . The only way to end this outdated tax is mass non compliance via educating people just how much of a sham it really is. In the 21st century it is completely ridiculous that you pay a company to use its rivals content whether you watch it or not . Imagine paying a Tesco tax to shop in Morrisons. If you’re a resident student and your parents pay the thing then the student is allowed to watch anything they like on mobile devices as long as they are not plugged in 😂. Interesting lil note: My apartment has a security front entrance, requiring a key to enter. So when there was a pair of internet sales idiots roaming the halls and knocking disturbing the residents, when at my door I asked how they’d gained access to the building? They explained that the buildings management company and them had entered into an ‘agreement’ allowing them access. I explained that as the Paying Tenant, I had entered into no such agreement so buggar off. I contacted the buildings management company and inquired why they felt it was a good idea to endanger every resident by granting access to non-residents? Especially since 1 of the selling features of the building was the security entrances? No more idiot salesgoons wandering the halls! 😂 Management company sent a letter to each apartment saying not to ‘breach security’ by allowing non-residents to enter. (We still have lazy tenants that rather than go meet delivery people at the doors when they buzz! The lazy tenants ‘buzz’ the delivery person in.) *But fake Amazon drivers have committed robberies and even rape! So sales/delivery being allowed to wander is completely unacceptable. **I wonder… as a tenant, does a resident have authority to trespass the TV goons from the building?

Just ignore them. All the stab vests and the clipboards is just there to try and intimidate you. They have no more power than your paperboy. Even in the VERY rare event they get a dodgy warrant, don't let them in anyway - cos they wont enforce it, for fear of the negative press about the BBC. 15 Years Legally Licence Free and ive had the lot of them. This is a little confusing for me here in Canada. We get a couple of channels broadcast over the air, otherwise we subscribe to a provider. Personally, I only buy internet and none of it applies to me anymore which causes me to ask what the future looks like for this.
