@@3WheelsToThere How is the braking using the URAL? I know you switched bikes. However, was the towing and braking okay using the URAL?

The braking was fine. The towing wasn't as good as I'd of hoped for. The Ural at 44 hp (at best) pulls fine on flat roads with no wind but on any inclines or windy days did cause me to downshift in to third. Also summer camping was less load to carry than winter camping (heaters, propane tank, heavier clothes & sleeping bag).

I have used my trailer for 5 yrs. pulled all over the west. Used in heavy rain, strong winds, and even in light snow. Very well made (British Columbia) product. Weighs 250 lbs with about 20 lbs tongue weight. You can get a mattress from the company. I use a thick full length closed cell self inflating (not air) mattress. I leave all my bedding, small table, chair, buddy heater etc inside when I close it up. Lots off room and at 6 ‘ I can stand up inside. These are great campers.

The Leesure Lite looks like a great trailer. I'm hauling a 20 year old Mini Mate. Tent trailers are a game changer for motorcycle camping.

It was fine in the summer, less weight but in the winter with heaters, propane tank, heavier clothes and sleeping bag it tended to bog down a bit.

We love ours. 2016 bought for a cross country trip pull it with Harley Electraglde. Got the high density foam mattress they sell for it and it’s comfy for 2. Check the screws for the luggage rack every so often several had to be replaced as they were lost. Great product

I also have the mattress. Having used an air mattress camping in tents and found it sucks in the cold. I do like the stock mattress. Keeps one much warmer. From what I can find an air mattress is about R=1 where the stock mattress is about R=6.

The pre 2000 Lees-ure Lites also had no rain fly. They eventually made a rain fly that you had to buy separately to fit the pre 2000 models.

When closed or attaching stuff while traveling it is 68 Kg. When opened as legs it is over 200 Kg as long as no-one is dancing.

Still doing my homework on these camping trailer's, because I have a 50cc gas scooter, and a maike( mk8) electric scooter, that I need to find out if they both can pull this lite excel trailer around.their both strong scooters, and I have my fingers crossed that I get good news that' it's safe to do so. That would really help my homeless situation out big time!

A bicycle could pull this trailer but the question is can it stop with the trailer? Both your scooters could pull this but they will not be able to stop with the trailer and that is where the danger is.

Thanks for the video. Looking at getting the Leesure Lite so have a quick question please. I will pull with a 2018 Goldwing, so no issue with power. My question relates to whether to buy the original size or the Excel version. I'm a retired widower so travel alone. I like the extra storage of the Excel, but will it pull as easily and smoothly as the smaller version. Thanks again.

I also have a 2018 Goldwing and pull the Excel model with no problems. I haven't pulled an original model so I can't compare. But they are the same price and an extra 15 cm in width doesn't seem like much but it does add an additional 113 cubic litres in storage space, the trade-off being an additional 11 kg heavier. Worth it in my opinion.

My wife and I both ride and have traditionally camped in tents and the part I have the most is the 1.5 hours it usually takes to pack and unpack all the gear and setup camp. I've looked at this trailer for the last year or so and one of the questions I have is how is it to pack when you have items like a Coleman cook stove, pots, pans etc... From what I've heard everything goes on top of the bed before folding it up?? We also usually carry bicycles on our bikes and would have to rig a a bicycle carrier for it. I'd tow with a Honda ST1100 which should be ok.

Yes the storage space is the bed area. You can get the storage pod and the aluminum storage container for additional storage space.

This would be so perfect for my husband and I, but unfortunately, he’s had several surgeries and can’t ride anything that requires him to straddle. So no motorcycles. The trailer/tent would be absolutely perfect for him to be able to get in and out of. Wonder if there are any trailers that fold out low profile like this Leesure Lite that’s towable by car.

The bed area is the storage. The tent is around the perimeter of the bed area leaving the middle open. I'll have a upcoming video on the storage.

Yes. The manufacturer makes a 2" thick mattress that is fitted for the bed area.

The thicker the mattress the less storage room available. A 4" mattress will cause a loss of 116 litres or just over 4 cubic feet more than a 2" mattress. Also the manufacturers mattress comes with a zippered washable cover.

Thank you! The Ural will pull a Lees-ure Lite trailer. I have done many a camping trip with the trailer and the Ural. You have to keep the weight down as the Ural only has at the max 45 HP. I have found that a loaded Ural and trailer struggles. My last time out with both I couldn't run the Ural in fourth, had to rev high in third just to make 80 kmh. With the Goldwing it is barely noticeable.

Wendy. Don't know if you read my comment above but there is lot's of storage inside while traveling. I leave all my bedding, pillows, fold up table and chair, buddy heater and other stuff for camping. There is a lot of room inside when opened as well. I'm 6 ft tall and can stand up with lot's of head room too. Really love this trailer. Pull it behind my Honda Element and it can go anywhere my Honda can go.

There is and it is hard to find. On their new website www.sunlitetrailers.com, you have to scroll down to the Leesure Lite Trailers box (between Custom Cubes and Pre-Owned) and click on that. Then on the Leesure Lite page scroll down a little until you see the Distributors tab/link after tabs for Home, Tent Trailers, Options and FAQs. Click on that then scroll until you see United States and click on that. Now all the U.S.A. distributors should be listed. There six on there as of this post.
