My man with a 6 year old camera and $70 lens taking much better photos than most "pro" photographers obsessed with the latest and greatest gear on KZbin. No matter how many Sony G lenses you got, if you don't know how to work the light and be creative, your gear will never matter. Kudos to you man, really enjoyed the video!

The tonality and micro contrast of the 35mm f1.2 is stellar. Works great in black & white. Lenses like this with few elements always impress me.

Really enjoyed this video! I'm a fuji guy and went through a cheap manual focus kick (Ttartisan 35mm and 17mm f/1.4s) last summer, but went back to my Fuji glass. This video just might make me pull those lenses out and play with them some more. Again, very enjoyable watch.

Just something fun to play with. They won’t win awards for sharpness but they have an interesting look to them that work well with that Fuji x trans sensor

Saw your video a while back and it made me purchase the 1.8 25mm- recently saw “Asking 13 KZbinrs what camera they use for fun” and you mentioned the x100 OG. Your explanation and description of what it’s like shooting it are to the T. I have an XE-1, and I just shoot it like a film camera. Cheers, dude! Follow and notifications on!

i tried the 25mm f1.8 awhile. didnt like it, sold and trade it for ttartisans 23mm f1.4 the 7art 25mm 1.8 has more serious vignette compare to the ttartisans at wide open. and that extra stop changes everything. but 1 thing for sure the 7art weights lesser and slightly smaller. good companion if you want to shoot street and potraits at low cost

Unbelievable. Really surprised by the photos you took with these two lenses. Because most of the time when I look at the reviews the photos of these two products are "very bad".. your technique is so great. I don't know if it is suitable for taking pictures of children under 6 years old if the lens is manual focus? You handled the angles on the stairs with slanted lines very well. I'm often confused by scenes like that!

I collect & use daily vintage lenses. Same dirt cheep prices as these (actually cheaper in most cases) Unlike these, a joy to use ( my collection consists mailnly of m42 mount Takumars, the best made, smoothest focusing glass on the planet) on every level & plentiful in excellent condition. These, in comparison, feel like toys, puts a damper on the joy of shooting in my book with no counterbalancing advantage EyE can see.

Dear hello, your videos are so instructive!!!! I would like an advise: I am behind two lenses, but I have multiple doubts to choose the right ones between these next options: the 35mm f/1.2, the 50mm f/35mm or f/0.95 (both from 7Artisans), the 75mm f/1.2 and 85mm f/1.8 (both from Viltrox). I want to pick two which don't repeat features. I'll use them for modeling and occasionally street photo. My camera is a fuji X-H1..... could you help me? thanx

Wow! Lee was able to get some really good pictures. Lee is a great photographer though. I'm also playing around with manual focus lenses and ordered the same 25 millimeter F 1.8 which is arriving today. I hope to get some of the same results. For the 35mm I went with it 7Artisan F 1.2 mkii. Definitely love the quality on that one. BTW I've owned the TTArtisan 50mm 1.2 for some time now and love it also. I'm using these with focus tabs which help tremendously on the X-Pro3. It makes it so much more enjoyable to take photos. 📸🔥 I highly recommend getting focusing tabs. Some come with tabs that glue on but I've also bought some third party tabs for the lenses that don't include in the box.

I actually own this exact lens with my X-E2. I like the "film" like feeling produced by this film. However, it is my skill that still a light year away from you. could you please share how to setting up cam for this lens? (assume X-E2 is not too much different from X-PRO2 in term of setting.) I like street photo, and manual peeking from the viewfinder is kind of not so reliable or quick enough. thanks a lot in advance.

@@LeeZavitz I'm pretty poor so the only ones I've bought up to yet are in the £20-£30 region, got a Helios 44m-4 58mm f2 and Olympus Zuiko MC 50mm f1.8. I can heartily recommend them if you ever fancy cheap and cheerful vintage stuff, maybe could even do a shootout between some of these new cheap lenses in this video between the cheaper vintage lenses.
