Mine is an old Montgomery Ward from the 80's - I believe model UHT J1276I. I definitely recommend finding a working vintage machine rather than buying a new one - the old ones have mostly metal guts, so they're heavier, but they're beasts!

@@Lefie Nice. Mine’s a Singer from the early 90’s. I love a basic machine. All the new ones seem to be digital and even do embroidery. I would never have a use for all those fancy functions.

I would love to know where you got the felt from and did you create the template letters yourself? I’d love to do this with a Cricut or other cutting machine, but I don’t think it’ll cut felt.

I clicked on the link to the template and it takes me to a service I have to pay for to send my own templates to other people... or something. When I clicked 'agree' I got the message that the transfer expired. So I guess it's not possible to get the templates.
