Maybe it's because it's the one I grew up with, but the original 360 menu is my favorite. An overhead shot of a completely desolate city street with maybe a few zombies dotted around. There's no music either, just pure silence as you watch what an apocalypse really looks like and what happens when the last traces of life have finally died. The world isn't ending anymore; it's already ended.

3 years late responding but thats what i loved about both games,left 4 dead 1 started off hopeless,dark and gritty..But l4d2 leans more into the action side and more optimistic.I also love that l4d2 has a southern mix to it bcuz of the southeastern setting

But Left 4 Dead 1 will always be ontop for it's eerie yet horror vibe. But that's what makes both of them special in their own ways.

The Last Stand map exist since the very first day of Left 4 dead 1 release 13 years ago as an exclusive Survival map. The Last Stand campaign from the update is actually an attempt at expanding the map into a story campaign map.

Gillian yup. It looks cool, especially the non-GOTYE version. But the problem is that it requires an increasingly annoying load time to get to the main menu since the game actually has to load a map. When exiting a game to the menu it becomes tiresome because of how long it takes just to load the main menu. L4D2 was better in that the menu loads instantly because its just an animated background not a map that needs to be loaded in.
