We found these radio dramas right after they were recorded. Our local Christian radio station played them one chapter at a time. My husband and I bought the whole series of cds, one book at a time. We luckily downloaded them on our computer. I still have those files, but I love this, as listening on my phone is easier. My husband of 30 years went to meet his beloved Savior 2 1/2 years ago. So thankful I had the privilege of introducing him to Jesus before we got married. The Left Behind years are wonderful memories. I remember road trips spent listening to these. So amazingly grateful I know exactly where he is and that I know I will see him again. Thank you for making these available!

I remember picking up a copy of Left Behind back in 1999. I was with a friend who was picking up something he had ordered for his wife at a Christian book store when I decided to browse. I came across Left Behind, read the summary and I was intrigued. Once I started reading, I couldn't put the book down. I had most of the books, but lost them over the years. I also remember listening to the radio drama on radio, and really enjoying it. Listening to the series again here on KZbin, it is great to relive my love of the series and remembering those more simpler times.

I think they would work better as a TV series, though they could be movies. If they make all 16 (counting the three prequels and the sequel), even if they were made chronologically, we could still watch them in publication order if we want to. The Rising would be as if Nicolae Carpathia was getting his own movie. Well, villains getting their own movies has been pretty popular. I don't see it happening with Leon Fortunato or Peter Matthews or Walter Moon or Suhail Akbar, though. If it was a TV series, say that if they do something with Akbar attending the Madrid Military Academy, I might get by with that. @aprilvento8394 I enjoyed the trilogy movie with Kirk Cameron though was sad they couldn't keep going. Though I suppose they could have continued on even with a different cast. Regardless, Kirk Cameron will always be the Buck Williams. Even when I listen to the audio drama, I still picture Kirk Cameron as Buck in my head.

I would love to see it as a cartoon. 4 hours would be 8 episodes then they can go 96 to cover the 12 books or cut some of the filler out and maybe have some time jumps I'd like them to expand some characters that get saved then die moments later by making them pivotal and having their death be plot driven and serve the story.

@@vidhead85 That'd be idea. Though I don't know if it would work better as a cartoon or live action. I tend to lean towards live action. Though if it was animated, it could be done in the similiar styes of Superbook (the 2010's CGI remake, that is). I'd like to see an exploration on the other Trib Force members, like Leah Rose, Dr. Floyd Charles, Hannah Palemoon, Annie Christopher, George and Priscilla Sebastian, Lionel and Felicia Whalum, Ming Toy, Chang Wong, Eleazar and Naomi Tiberius, and Ree Woo, on where they were when the Rapture happens and how they became believers. The moment with Naomi and her mother could be very moving.

@@christycantrell6263 Unfortunately it was never made into radio shows like the 12 main books. It’s a great book, but unfortunately there are many characters we don’t get to catch up with. The one I really miss is Hattie Durham (I think she gets mentioned once towards the end of the book). She played such a big part in most of the books, I felt she should have had a bigger role in “Kingdom Come”.

They've tried to turn it into movies at times even with Nicolas Cage as the lead. They always end up rewriting it and miscasting it. They even have one show that has Dr. Rosenweig played by someone who is well over 6 ft .tall & towers over Buck.

For those who are curious and you haven't read the last book. Kingdom Come I think it is called. It basically is Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye interrepretation of the millennial reign. It is a little far fetched in some places but some of it I could see happening.

Great that you’ve uploaded these. One of my favourite audio series of all time. Todd Busteed self-funded an audio drama of the first prequel (“The Rising”), but he didn’t have the money or time to continue with the other two (“The Regime” and “The Rapture”) or the sequel, “Kingdom Come”. It’s unfortunate: I think Tyndale was finally ready to pull the plug on the series by that point. “The Rising” is really good - not done in episodes like these books; it has a different theme song and overall is quite creepy, but a few actors from this series reprise their roles.

I love this series; I even have the audio recording on my phone. Someone said, however, that the Left Behind movies are not Biblical. I don't know, I love them all anyway, audio, video, novel series, and everything |Left Behind" . So, maybe some colour was added to the books to make the movies, does that now discount their message? "PREPARE!! For Jesus is coming back soon!!!!" Colour makes for exceptional creative writing. I definitely appreciate authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins. They inspire my creativity..

The rapture is based on scripture, but I don’t think the events will play out like the pre-tribulation teaching that Left Behind subscribes to. The rapture doctrine is actually fairly recent in church history, and has some flimsy origins. However, I very much believe in Christ’s 2nd coming. I think the rapture doctrine is escapism.

it's been tried. The Kirk Cameron version was okay, but not especially close to the story. For my money, the dramatic audio version rocks it!

I think that with the right cast, writers, & artists, Left Behind would make for a visually stunning adult animated series. Alot of adult animated shows are raunchy comedies with art styles indicative of many adult cartoons like Rick & Morty or Paradise PD. But with a visually appealing art style befitting of LB’s thriller/horror/suspenseful atmosphere, a talented group of animators and designers, and solid respect for the source material, I’d watch it in a heartbeat. All they would need then is a content warning at the start of each episode saying that LB is clearly meant for the big kids (I wouldn’t recommend a toddler watch a guillotine scene from the later books, for example).

I haven't thought of that. I always thought of it as live action. Though I agree that the series has some graphic content. I wonder that when they get to the guillotine, if they show the victim being set in place, then cut to the next scene before the blade comes down. In Armageddon, it's mentioned that the angel Caleb shone so bright during Chloe's execution, so no one saw it on TV. In many movies I've seen about Jesus, they show the guards going down to John the Baptist's prison, getting ready to behead him, though they never show the actual beheading. I reckon there is some graphic content to be concerned about. I suppose in the Remnant, they could show Akbar giving the two fighter pilots Kerry and Uri an injection of sedatives, and they wheel them out then move on from there. Don't think I would want to see them cremated alive.

I'm confused. I know the voice actor who voiced David and Tsion is the same guy in this. But, at one point "David" speaks to "yukof" (I think that how it's spelled). I just caught that.

My only complaint is that they got rid of the theme song in between episodes…that is such a crucial part of the nostalgia for me.
