0:15 - There are actually 16 books in the series. There was a prequel trilogy of books released. 1. The Rising 2. The Regime 3. The Rapture I suggest reading these books as well.

Those prequels were so excellent and really helped give a fleshed out back story to a lot of the main characters including Viv Ivins and Nicolae’s mother. Highly worth reading.

I was obsessed with the kids series back in middle school/junior high! I sped through the first like 36 books and then unfortunately my library didn’t have the final 4 books for some reason. I couldn’t believe it and it broke my heart that I couldn’t finish them right away. I never actually ended up finishing them and I sort of got so busy in high school that I forgot about them! Maybe one day I’ll get the final 4 and finish them. 😂

I'm sure this video is a little too old for you to ever see this comment but Kingdom Come is not actually about heaven. It's about the Millennium Kingdom. The Thousand-Year Reign. There are actually still conflicts the characters deal with, but I won't say them for spoilers sake lol. However, Heaven (as we know) is at the very end of the book, and they don't really go into detail. They just kind of leave it at "and they all reigned forever and ever." So you don't need to worry about them telling you what your perspective of Heaven would be. It's actually still a pretty educational book about the Thousand-Year Reign and actually cleared up a lot of things for me. However, since the book has a giant freaking laundry list of characters, it only utilizes a few of them. Go figure, juggling that many characters would be a nightmare lol. The largest bulk of the characters is basically trim down to a cameo at the end of the book. So yeah, go ahead and read "Kingdom Come" lol. There is also another thing I wanted to add, "Left Behind" has an audio theater drama series. Which is basically a book that is told through nothing but voice acting, sound effect, and music. No narration no nothing. It tells the story all the way from "Left Behind" to "The Glorious appearing." Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be one for "Kingdom Come." Which is a shame, because it's honest-to-god really really good. I'm a truck driver, and it was honestly a godsend to pass the time while on the road. And the whole series is right here on KZbin! Just look up "Left Behind Dramatized."

Just finished the series, I was about 9-10 y/o when they first came out. Like you, I’m a Christian that doesn’t subscribe to the Rapture theology, though I would encourage believers and non-believers to read. It’s a fun ride, and some of the intense scenarios did have me questioning how I would witness and endure. Soul Harvest and Nicolae were my favorites. I loved the backdrop of betrayal, political and financial corruption in the first book. My absolute favorite scene ironically was in Desecration where Nicolae storms the temple. The writing and imagery were fantastic. My second favorite moment was in Apollyon where Chaim is agonizing to Buck about from the locust sting. Lastly, the development of Rayford from the beginning to end was incredible. Great series overall. I’ve yet to read Kingdom Come and the prequels.

Yeah I agree with your assessment. I read these at about the same age, and after about 5 or 6 books, I got so bored and stopped reading. I feel like most of the middle of the series could’ve been chopped out or sped up. The beginning few books were so fast paced!! Then it started to feel like they were just drawing things out to sell more books. I am somewhat kinda of curious to go back and try to read the entire series and actually finish it up.

There’s a book trilogy like left behind called “The Christ Clone Trilogy” by James BeauSeigneur. It’s about a scientist named Harold Goodman who figured human cloning. After gaining access to the Shroud of Turin he made a clone of Jesus that he raised as a son named Christopher Goodman. After a few years a large population of planet drops dead at seemingly random time and the trilogy is about Christopers upbringing, rose to political power then spiritual power and downfall

I'd honestly never heard of the series prior to watching the Nic. Cage movie; it left me feeling very confused & I must confess to critiquing it very harshly. Later, however, I found out that it was supposed to be part of either a trilogy, or a series of films, and that it was a remake; I sought out the original version & didn't like that the actual _Rapture_ (people disappearing) was spoken about but not shown (the one part of the remake I liked & wanted an explanation for). But, _whilst watching_ the original *'Left Behind'* movie, I saw that it was actually a trilogy, so watched them all back-to-back, after which I had a much greater appreciation for the story as a whole (rather than judging one movie as standalone). Anyway, it was whilst raving about how much I enjoyed the trilogy, that I was told it was based on a whole series of books, and that the reason no more movies were made, in the Kirk Cameron series, is because so much "artistic licence" was taken, with the third movie, that Tim LaHaye & Jerry B. Jenkins refused to allow any more to be made by that studio. So, on the back of that information, I looked up the book series & saw that there are, in fact, three _prequel_ books. Me being the sort to go kinda OCD when it comes to chronology, I still, to this day, haven't yet read the first *'Left Behind'* novel (or any of those you list in this video), because I'm still reading the first prequel novel *'The Rising'* (which I struggle with due to Internet Addiction currently negating/blocking my previous love of reading books)… Pray for me? So yeah, that's my ramble. Thank you for the video 🙏🏻🥰❤️ *_P.S. -_*_ Your video discussing the first four books, which you link to in this video's description, is inexplicably set to Private; you'll need to fix that if we're to be able to watch it._ 👍🏻
