i've always been interested in the thermal stitch but couldn't find a lot of left handed tutorials on it so thank you! i have a lot of this sport weight yarn i wanted to make into a blanket but i wanted it to be thick, which is almost impossible with sport weight yarn and i didn't wanna double up so i'm definitely gonna try it with this stitch!

Thank you! I made a thermal potholder (I'm left handed) and I had an awful time holding the thing as I progressed since I ended up with the big chunk of finished work in my right hand and no way to hold the yarn. I'm wondering if I was doing it backwards. I'm so confused. lol

Wow I can do this!! My edges look a bit messy though...any helpful hint for cleaning those up?
@bellacococrochet5 ай бұрын
Well done! 😊 If you work a simple border of double crochet stitches around the edge it will make them look a lot neater.

I'm not sure if you said in this video but the ch1 does not count as a stitch, but right? I'm gonna try this again but my stitch count should always be sthe same amount throughout, correct? Lol I will try again and use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch. I always lose that last chain to work into. This is an awesome technique. I will master this. Thanks for a great tutorial.
@bellacococrochet2 жыл бұрын
You are very welcome - yes the ch1 does not count as a stitch. The written pattern might help you, here is the link:- bellacococrochet.com/thermal-stitch/ :)

Do you think it's possible to use this Stitch when making a circular project like everything's connected
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
The simplest way to do this would be to make a flat piece which can then be seamed along the side 😊

Cool stitch but why is it called thermal? Would like to know that before the start of the tutorial.
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
It's because its a very dense stitch with makes it extra thick :)
@phebeblack20463 жыл бұрын
@@bellacococrochet I love this stitch. It's soft, stretchy and warm. Making a baby blanket with yarn in inventory. Keep in mind, because it's a double thickness, plan on twice as much yarn. I also love the mirror image lefty versions after so many frustrating years trying to learn new stitches.

How do you count the rows? I have a pattern that calls for a number of rows, but where do I start counting?
@bellacococrochet3 жыл бұрын
The simplest way is to use a row counter (you can buy one or download a free app) or use a simple scrap of paper and a pencil; after you finish each row and turn your work you should note down one row 😊
@kimwaknitz75943 жыл бұрын
@@bellacococrochet I get that, but when do you start the count first after the chain or after that one where it starts to thicken?

Your ring gives away that you just mirrored your video and didn’t really crochet this with your left hand 😉
@wareeshaanjum92493 жыл бұрын
Ofc. btw wt's the problem with that? I think everyone should do that. So that left handed ppl have less difficulty in learning
@laurenj85173 жыл бұрын
I think it's a good idea, it makes the videos accessible to right and left handed people without shooting an entirely different video :) as a left handed newbie I really appreciate the step by step videos! I'm not at the point where I can watch a right handed video and mirror it 😄

Some people just need something to complain about. No one but you apparently could care less how the left handed videos are made. If you dont like something, just move on and pass on commenting. I hope you find something that makes you happy one day.
