From Georgia. Rarely snow here I watch northern channels for ideas and things to cook! But still so interested in how you deal with cold and snow and daily life with dealing with cold! Ready here to plant potatoes. Carrots. Sweet peas. It’s just so different. Stilson GA was 76 degrees today. Keep posting!

Going to create a throw together minestrone soup today. Have just enough left over roast beef with gravy, gonna add some veggies that need used, add a can of beans and a little ditalani pasta. The best soups are just winging it! ALWAYS! I've got 2 gallons of dehydrated onions on the shelf. I use them a whole lot when onions are expensive. When I find seconds of onions at a farmers market for dirt cheap, I buy them up, take off the damaged layer and dehydrate them! Gotta be frugal like that these days!

That’s how I roll, creating soups with what I got on hand. My favorite soup is made from the leftover brothe from Butter Beef Roast. I just add a jar of Ball’s Vegetable soup base and some pasta or beans.

@@pikecreekfarm I will do a video on it sometime here… it’s a Chuck roast slow cooked in mild pepper rings and the pickling juice and ranch and Italian dressing salad mix and a stick of butter (or less) then serve over mashed potato or cauliflower or egg noodles!

Cabbage. That's what I like with pork. Roasted a little first, then chopped up. Keep up the good work!

Something you can do with your garlic that I did for the first time this year is to ferment it in honey. All you need to do is crush it to peel it, cut the big cloves in half, put it in a jar, cover with honey, stick it in a darker place, check on it every few days to make sure the garlic is below the honey, and after two months you can take a spoonful daily to stay healthy, but if you get sick you can take a spoonful every couple of hours. I wasn’t sure about it when I started it but I saw a lot of homesteaders swearing by it. I made some two months ago. Last week I had a double ear infection starting. I took a spoonful every couple of hours and the next day I was dramatically better! Not fully healed, but I was at about 75%. Which is pretty awesome for me! Anyway, this food looks great! Glad to see you posting again! Enjoy! 💙💙💙

Great video! We purposely cook larger cuts so we have leftovers for 2 or 3 days. One of our favorite stews is leftover pork roast, lots of onions, celery, and garlic, and chunked butternut squash. And we serve it over brown rice. Delicious!

Refrigerator stew is the best. I really enjoy many soups and stews when it is cold out. They are very comforting. I like the cast aluminum pots. I just looked these up after watching "Cooking with Donna". I use to have some many years ago.

Here’s my favourite thing to do to a pork roast. Picnic or shoulder roast. Put in a casserole dish with diced onion and some Italian seasoning. Don’t add water to the dish. No salt at this point. When it’s 1/2 cooked put sauerkraut in the pot, Undrained. Regular sauerkraut, not wine sauerkraut. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes.

That soup looks like that might be really good. I am not familiar with red curry was that a it looked like a powder I have seen red curry paste is that the same? Is this a hot like spice or just the warm flavors? Love seeing you cook with your heart I think some of the rest best recipes come up that way.
