This recipe is a very good idea to make good use of leftover cooked rice. It can be made in short time and with minimal ingredients too. A sure winner with everyone !
Ingredients
Cooked rice 1 cup
Semolina/Rava/sooji 1 cup
Curd 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil 2 Tbsp
For Ginger chutney
Oil 1 tsp
urad dal 1 tbsp
Dry red chilli 3-4
Ginger a small piece
tamarind a small piece
Jaggery powder 2tsp
Hing/asafoetida a pinch

Best episode... At Times we use jaggery and at times we omit jaggery when we make inji thuvayal. Rest all same procedure. This dosa engaluku pudhusu

With left over rice we can also make stuffed parathas like aloo parathas adding onion and green chillies, coriander and jeera to smashed leftover rice and make the stuffing.

One more addition in left over rice category. I had lot of over night water soaked rice and have it with butter milk in morning. Since it is Mansoon i stopped having fermented rice with butter milk. This video brought one more option for me to try. I agree "Save Food".. Thanks for the video. 🙏🙏🙏

I am mesmerised by the way you flip dosas over! That's when, in my kitchen, the spatula starts to stick and make a mess of the dosa!

Oh wow! You can also do it. simply heat the tava very well. Sprinkle a few drops of water and see if it sizzles. Next add a few drops of oil and rub it all over with a sliced onion. now reduce the flame to medium and pour the dosa batter

maami one question when we get dosa's from hotel they do not flip for other sides to be cooked but it is always fully cooked how is that done? and i have always seen you flip to cook on both sides, why so?

When you make thinly spreaded dosa on evenly heated tawa on high heat then no need to flip. But at home we cannot get evenly heated tawa and we like to have soft dosa so it's required to cook on both sides

We also don't flip it.. You should keep the flame low and cook it covered

I’m a typical South Indian Mam I love my dosas and Idli 😋😋 This is a wonderful recipe for leftovers 👌🏻 Gita Mam they say we shouldn’t grind the cooked rice , it turns poisonous . Is it true!? I loved the chutney too... will definitely it out Thank you Gita Mam 🙏🏻

Yes, you can sugar can be added, aamchur powder (dry mango powder) may also be substituted for tamarind..

first you mixed the curd and rava and put it in grinder in place of that we can put directly in the grinder without mixing We can put directly also I tried it
