It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book kzbin.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

While it's too small for me personally, I really liked a lot of the build features they incorporated into it to make the most of such a small space. The exterior tables and shelving systems were really good and if I were doing a build right now, might have to steal that idea. Another great film Dylan. :cheers:

You folks are doing everything right. Folks use to wonder how I survived living in my camper with my coal n gas forges welded on the back n tailgate. Shod have if you are wondering. No frig nor heat, but my dog Lady by my side. I saved allot in those days n worked hard n long. 25 yrs later my youngest son left for college n my wife left the day after. Never saw it coming nor did we fight. Cost me 600k n a broken heart, as I had flowers n reservations at her favorite prime rib restaurant. An thought we'd celebrate being empty nesters. Although she had other ideas, obviously. Before that took place, I became civilized n a job n kids. But still went on week long camping trips into the mountains of Wyoming. I'd watch movies most every night either outside by the fire or inside. An my dogs always followed n went 4wheeling n brookie fishing with me. Now, just a woreout ole paradog n 13 gkids. Live how you want cuz life takes different paths than most realize in life. An life is soooooo short n lonely. But I have gkids n they make it worth living.

Cool power packs! I also love the rainwater collection system.
@AnnaC635 жыл бұрын
The power packs are very over priced for normal camper use but for what they're doing, needing light weight portable heavy duty power banks for filming shoots they make sense. I agree, the rainwater system is great. More of us should incorporate it. Also I'm glad to see that wind equipment is getting cheaper. It's good to mix it with solar since major volcano eruptions in the past have caused mini ice ages due to debris blocking suns rays for decades. This happened in Northern Europe from a volcano eruption in Krakatau, Indonesia on the other side of the world just 600 years ago. If Yellowstone or rather when the Super volcano there erupts, people who survive the initial devastation which will be like several nuclear bombs will probably experience an actual ice age unless they live in tropical regions or subtropical ones. But even if there is a temporary ash cloud for a matter of weeks or months like there was after Mt St Helens or over Greenland a few years ago when flights were canceled indefinitely or just a long rainy spell, wind energy to supplement solar is a good idea.

That’s a interesting build. Nice work! I designed a somewhat similar trailer. I built a large rack over a small boat trailer. I had a 12’ RIB inflatable with outboard motor under the rack, roof top tent at one end of the rack and gear stored under a tilt up solar array at the front of the rack. A plywood table hinged down like yours with a propane cookstove bolted to it. Yours is much nicer. I never finished out mine out because I decided to use a short bus instead. Sold the rooftop tent. Wasn’t for me. But when I was younger I would have liked it. I still have the trailer with large rack and a fiberglass boat I’m turning into a electric boat. Problem is too much stuff. I have a cargo trailer full of tools, solar stuff, solar ovens, etc. Cannot tow two trailers lol. I make no claim to being a minimalist. This is a material planet and existence . When I’m a spirit I’ll be a minimalist. But sometimes it does seem like my stuff owns me. I’m striving to find a happy medium. Many have said it takes several campers to find the one you like. And it does change as one gets older. Happy trails

" Don't try it until you have tried to live in your car for a week at least. I'm telling you. you can go nuts." Yep, people do not understand the logistics of this lifestyle, from finding places to park to visiting grocery stores very often to "wasting more time" doing daily stuffs: cooking, cleaning, showering, dressing, charging a laptop, going #1/#2, etc. Bottom line: calculate your surviving-to-living ratio. *Surviving is the activities done to support your living (e.g. 9-5 job, moving your van/trailer from place to place, getting "plumbing"/electricity, etc.) *Living: leisure time.
