Thank you for the compliment! I try my best to keep these talks polished, but I'm also aware that there's plenty of room for more improvement. When I build a talk, I try to keep a quote attributed to Albert Einstein in mind: "If you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself." For most radiology talks, it basically means I try to pretend I'm an intelligent high school student, and ask myself if they'd understand my talk. With regards to slide design, I was always a fan of how Steve Jobs made his. Basically: 1. Maximize the signal to noise ratio on each slide. Empty space keeps slides elegant. 2. Use images/graphics liberally to explain, but NOT for decoration. 3. Elements on a slide must be neat. That means making sure every element is aligned to the pixel, fonts consistent and few, and image backgrounds transparent. Details count, once aggregated.
