For me it's orange. It's just not a color I am drawn to and other than using it with rainbow colors or with pink/red and yellow, I find it hard to be creative when picking out a color palette
@alexandriamonk2345 Жыл бұрын
@hawkpaul8735 metalics will always be thinner because of the type of pigment. Mixing your metalics a bit thicker than the rest of your paints will keep that color separation. If metalics are too thin, they make a shiny haze over the other colors. If you're going for that, great! If you'd rather more disinclined, make the silver a bit thicker! Like if all your paints have a 2 count trace, make the silver a 3 count trace!

I wish this video had been around when I first started. I watched loads of videos but nobody was as helpful as you are. A phrase I heard a lot was 'make your paint the consistency of warm honey'. As I'd never seen warm honey it meant nothing. Your mound upon a mound etc was much more logical to hear. Thanks for everything you've done David. I have been pour painting for about 3 years and this was great to watch! If this video had come out when I first started, WOW I would saved so much money! You actually pointed some things out i hadn't thought of because I'm also self taught. For instance, scraping the stir stick! I never put 2 and 2 together that scraping it and mixing a bit before I check consistency would change the flow coming off the stick. You seem like such a nice guy that loves to help. For the more "logical" artist (I was more of a math and science person in school) the way you explain things really leads to a lot of LightBulb moments with the context of my previous pours and frustrating moments when I couldn't figure out why something didn't go right. Thanks for posting! You're one of the artists I wish posted more often because you shed a lot of light on a subject that Google doesn't always have a straight answer on

So true! I just adore him as well! My circumstances are different however I'm just starting out have been "watching videos " for a year now and have had a few of what I felt were successful pours. But I have ADHD and for some reason he makes everything make sense where others are just speaking Greek. I also ha the lighbulb come on with the craft stick pointer lol.

I'm glad I found this video from you! I have a lot of school glue that I ordered from Amazon, and now I have a way to use the glue. I even have a bottle of extra strength Amazon glue, which is just like Elmer's Glue-All. I've got tons of clear glue, too. Thank you again for this!

Thanks a bunch. One of the reasons I'm interested in pours but haven't started is because every video leaves out important information, or uses terms pourers understand, but I don't. I've been trying to hit a lot of beginner videos so I can fill in some of those gaps. Then I found yours. Very helpful!
