Fact 52 Did you know that it kind of showed what happened to Shu in the back story of Shu vs Lui Lui burst spriggan/spryzen and you can see that one of Shu's eye was covered by his hair indicating that he did get slashed by his beyblade in the finals between him and Lui. Its also why in the English dub he said after having a flash back "I will never forget THAT day" showing not only did Shu lose he may have been injured in the eye.

Bey fact: Spryzen breaking isn’t what made Shu become red eye, in Beyblade Burst Evolution, Free won a match against Shu, and Theodore Glass said if Shu wanted to get stronger so he told how Shu can get stronger (in a evil way) and upgraded Spryzen to be stronger and more evil. Shu forgot that Blading isn’t about winning and it’s about fun so he got referred as red eye, the dark side of Shu. I don’t even know if you should blame Free anyways, Shu is the one that forgot what Blading is truly about- but yea.

Here's a thought if you think about it. Ren Kurenai could be related to Shu Kurenai if the whole franchise was in the same world, like how plastic gen was in the same world as Burst in the manga. So, what if there was a side manga that could be related, but it covers what it would've been like if Ren was all grown up. Please don't judge me, Idk how to spell her name. But I think it's a good theory, since Madoka's grandfather or her father was a professional at taking care of Beyblades, and so was the kid from plastic gen who got his bit beast stuck in his computer. I can't remember his name rn, but it's a good theory that Plastic Gen, Metal Saga, and Burst could be in the same world.
