I was blessed to know Margaret Hudson. She was the guest speaker at my high school graduation in 1986. She not only delivered an inspiring speech but she created a piece of her art while she was speaking. Not only was she an amazing artist but she was so so cool. She was wearing a lot of jewelry made of silver and turquoise a lot like what you wear. She was barefooted and she had clay that had dried to her pants and shirt and some on her face while she was speaking . I thought she was awesome. After high school I went on to. become a nurse and I had taken a job through a home health agency . One day I was assigned a patient that I would be caring for three days a week on Monday Wednesdays and Fridays and the lady that I was caring for loved to be taken out in her wheelchair for a walk every day the first day when we were on our walk we passed by this yard and I saw all of these sculptures and I told the lady I was caring for those look like Margaret Hudson and she said of course they do this is her house the lady I was caring for was Margaret’s neighbor. Margaret came out to say hello and I introduced myself and told her that she had spoken at my graduation. I told her I still had the little hedgehog that she had given me for graduation. Each of us got a piece of her art when we graduated. My job lasted for eight months and during those eight months I got to know Margaret quite well. After the lady I was caring for passed away I continued to visit Margaret about once a month she was always working and creating she was always barefooted and she loved being outside. I have several of her pieces and I cherish them to this day. Just thought I would share the story of my friend Margaret. She always talked about “finding your joy “ She definitely lived that way and you can see the joy in all of her pieces😊

I just moved into an apartment and didn’t want to hang large art pieces as they need large hangers and thus big holes that has to be repaired and painted. I woke up late one night and realized an easel would work so well! I could rotate my art depending on my mood. I’ve watched you for awhile and you have such good ideas! So seeing you look at the easel and decide to take it home! Thanks by the way for sharing your adventures.

Those Indian Birds are made from all the fabric scraps of clothing they make in India or cuts from used clothing, but mostly from old Sari’s, most likely vintage ones as Sari’s are treasured, well looked after and passed down to generations of women. They are a great sustainable product for decorating - even the insides are stuffed with fabric remnants! ❤ I have imported them before, they come in birds, chickens, elephants mostly, and they always use mixed colours, and the bells 🔔 are for luck and to clear the air energy and bring in positive new energy. ❤

Laura, I love your style and your happiness, which clearly shows in every video you do. As to the large box you found, I can't think of 50 things to do with it, but here is a few I can think of. Put by the door to hold keys when you walk in. In the living room to hold remotes. On a desk to hold office supplies. Outside at a picnic to hold silverware or napkins. On top of the fridge to hold receipts (I'm always looking for a receipt I need). In a guest room to hold small toiletries for guests to use-you could leave the lid open and have eye masks, small water bottles, cologne, candy, beautiful hand towels, etc. On a kitchen shelf to hold seldom used utensils. And please ignore the negative comments. Unhappy, miserable people make them. Negative commentors are showing the world how negative they are. Their comments reflect on themselves, not you. You are awesome. I love watching your videos.

The Fenton perfume bottle design is called hobnail and the color is white opaline or opalescent. Any vintage glass with opaline finish has a good value. 😊👍 If you ever come across (lime) green opalescent glass, stop the press!!! Some of it (especially the french green opalescent boxes) can be worth hundreds, even a couple thousand dollars. Same with the opalescent green lamps!

I don't understand, as I see this across multiple vintage reseller KZbin channels, why viewers are critical of business choices of the influencer. You all are reSELLers. Supporting, promoting, and raising awareness of each other is a generous and kind business model. It is not done as a "kick back" gesture. Capitalism does not have to be cut throat nor "winner vs. loser." We are making the "pie" bigger, and there is plenty to go around.

As you travel from one place to another I keep my eyes open for a lamp that would be a twin to one I bought at the bins in Hillsboro many years ago. It was one of a pair and one was damaged but I got that one to be able to source part of it. Both had four pieces is not what I like. I am an odd number person. Took them to a lamp guy in Beaverton and he made one with five segments which left me with bits and bobs left overs. Sadly the left overs were stolen when I had a break in. But if I ever see a lamp like what i had gotten originally i would grab it. I keep hoping. Love your channel so much!

I went online and found a similar vase with the metal overlay. It was a Vintage Moroccan Pottery Jar Vase. This one was a Mid-20th Century 11". It was beautiful. It was selling for $249.00 even though it had some chipping. It was still lovely. However, I liked your design better. Also, I think that's what's wrong with the world today. Why can't we just be kind with no strings attached? Why can't we just support each other?? What have we got to lose? And we gain friends and blessings. Keep it up Laura.
