The very concept of a "microaggression" is insulting to anyone who has suffered real violence or trauma. I lost one of my parents when I was six years old, and I was never this hysterical. That's how you know it's just an affectation. Don't ever let these people make you think YOU'RE the bad guy because you hurt their feelings. Their outrage is exaggerated for effect, because they know they can count on your own decency to help them gain power over you.
