I don't understand why you're scared of the homosexuals really because they're a big group of people and there's great ones and not great ones just like any group. And actually the same with the Islamics; although I admit I have a problem with people who got a philosophy that lying is a particular favorite to use on one's "enemy". But what I suggest is to stay prayed up. But having a weapon to defend life and limb is not a bad idea either. If you do get one, get training too.
