It was difficult to tell if this was a parody or not given I'm not from china and my limited understanding of supply vs demand. I only noticed something was off when 100% of the emphasis was placed on looks. I'm waiting to see how long it'll take before the women in china figure out how to utilize the fact of the supply difference since there are by the hard data, necessarily more male losers than female losers over there. The ball is on their side of the court. Gotta figure out what to do with it.

@@cannonball666 I didn't expect that response at all. I truly enjoyed it because I found it genuinely funny. Nothing "feminist" about that either. The term leftover woman does not even conjure up anything bad for me when it is said, simply because there is no such thing as a leftover person. Just a bunch of older people pressuring women and men to do things at earlier stages in their lives. Also men don't mind if you're highly educated but if you get a masters degree and look down on all men with a masters or less then you're reducing your own dating pool by being overly educated, don't blame the men. Same with the financial situation, if you're a career woman earning a huge income and in the top 10% of people in earnings but expect your husband to earn more then you've just eliminated 90% of the population so you have your self to blame coz those guys in the top 10% are sort after by all the other girls and marriage ties them 1:1 with a woman so only 10% of women can be married to the top 10% of men.

You don't understand how the marriage market seems to work. The things that make men and women attractive are different because of evolution. Men want young, beautiful, thin, childless, women with low body count. Women want older, rich, tall, educated, men who have lots of resources (house, cars, etc.). Women are valued by their looks while men are valued by their resources. A woman's looks declines as she ages while men's resources grow as he ages. Men and women are on different standards.

Hi, I’m from Japan. 30 year-old men are too old😲❓ I think we used to have that kind of trend, “Leftover men or women”. But now we have the world’s highest single rates in Japan. Being single is becoming a chice, and marriage isn’t something we have to do just because many others get married. I’m a divorcée with a 19 yr-old son, but I don’t feel ashamed of myself. I think the time when we meet the right one differs person to person. Marriage isn’t something parents should force their kids to. I feel so sorry for Chinese ppl😭💦💦 I can be more relaxed about it..

@@IzumiKaya you're from Japan. I have a proposal to make, since china has 35 million extra leftover chinese men. I suggest japan to accept some of them e.g. accept 50,000 to 200,000 chinese men each year i think it would help the birth rate people won't have to work longer hours. Now the issue is japanese men and chinese men have to overcome what happened in the past, i am sure some families just wouldn't like each other. Chinese and Japanese are both north east asian and look similar but have different facial features. The westerner's made up stereotype of all asians looking the same is false. Now imagine more men born from china have visas to travel to Japan for work on working visa. One of the criteria that has to be meet is their willingness of marrying Japanese women. Women in Japan would have more men to choose from. I think the younger generation of chinese men are more open in dating women of different ethnicities. I think some Japanese men would get mad about this, some would step up their effort in dating.

@WindspriteM5 жыл бұрын
Yes that's actually what's the case. More men than women. What the Chinese media constantly fuss about, is that educated women often don't marry, despite there being so many men the could just by mere statistics marry So there's a lot of pressure on women with degrees to marry. The thing is, there's basically a mismatch: not enough women in general, which means that uneducated men with little money get left out, because there's always a guy who can provide better for his wife and for more traditional-thinking women this can also be more logical. There's a huge double-standard here though, because everyone sees that it's just sad when a have-not can't even find love, but nobody respects a working woman's choice to live without a family, even though if a successful man who could easily find a wife doesn't marry, that's kind of accepted (though, gotta admit, not quite, because in China there is just so much expectations from elder relatives that they get to see grandkids, grandnephew and -nieces) In practice this may vary, because individuals may actually be nice and respectful to their family members and keep their mouths, but as a mood in Chinese society this kind of negging is a thing.

This video perfectly shows how machist Chinese society is. The sarcasm is so strong I could barely handle it! But I love it!

A lot of women those days are overpowered and manipulative than ever before. It’s just annoying to see them demanding men to have this stuff, that stuff and so on. If there are Less simps for feeding those women, we will have a better world to live 101%.

First thought this was addressing how the gender ratio of China's population has affected the culture, dating and society. By 3:47 I thought it was odd how the things to know about the man (age, attractiveness and cooking ability) and things to know about the woman (education, career, car, etc.) was a reverse on what is in the West. Then I started to read the comments and now I don't know what the satire is per say. I'm guessing this had simply been a gender swap. If anyone would like to explain it, I'd be happy to read it.

*What do these men bring to the table? Let's explore!* Can he even make a family? No, he wants to work through his 30s, before thinking about it. Can he cook for you? No. That's offensive to even ask. Will he clean? No. He's messy and prefers to spend $ on a maid each week.(also, see above) Is he even interested in raising children? No, not really. He's talked about out-sourcing that(daycare) Is he kind and agreeable? No. He's constantly depressed and currently on hed-meds. Is he a provider? No. His plan is to work till 36, then marry a wealthy woman to pay his way. *

Men are more often attracted to young and beautiful, women are more often attracted to mature and successful. I think that’s fine, but the term left over woman is still derogatory and unnecessary.

I thought this video would focus on the real leftover men... unbeknownst to many, it is a real social issue that affects mostly Chinese men from the poor lower classes who stay in the rural areas, while Chinese women tend to migrate to the cities, therefore, without the possibility of finding a wife.

Misleading title. Instead, the video focuses on the "leftover" *women* , who can't find a husband (in the cities, I guess). It's a real social issue too.

They should create a dating site for matchmaking leftover men with leftover women.

Yeah... It's unfair how men value women based their age and beauty It's also unfair how women value men based on their utility, which pretty much us the size of their wallet. It seems to me that both sides view the other side as unfair... It's kind of fair game. 😂
